All ten of Tianyi’s divine conduits attacked in a concerted manner. The three divine conduits closest to the core posed the greatest threat, and naturally, they faced the most resistance. The ones farther away would face much less resistance, but conversely, it would take more effort and longer to seize authority. If God King Tengri focused on the ones with the greatest threat, the ones on the fringes would become dangerous as time went on.
In essence, the God King should have no good solution to Tianyi’s attack.
What Tianyi did not expect was that the resistance he faced was far below his estimations. Oh, the resistance was far greater than in his previous attempts at merging with wild systems. Not only that, but it was obvious that the Tengri System did not employ a static defense, knowing how to adjust and diversify defensive methods. It focused on the effective ones and discarded the useless methods.
The changing defenses did catch Tianyi off guard, but they were still much weaker than anything he expected. God King Tengri’s willpower was too weak.
Even Tianyi felt his willpower was stronger. He had wanted to leverage his universe-level consciousness and his many divine conduits to overwhelm and merge with the Tengri System. He even prepared to triple the number of divine conduits he had already created since he expected them to fail, but now, it seemed that he could succeed with the current number as long as he was careful.
Why was God King Tengri’s willpower so much weaker than he expected? Was it because of his injuries from the war against the Pangu System? Or was it some other reason? Tianyi didn’t think it was because of the devils, because the records of the All Pantheon Alliance had indicated that the Tengri System did not participate, nor did he sense any devilish influence in this hidden system.
Although Tianyi wanted to discover the truth, the situation did not allow it. He intensified his attack. God King Tengri had to focus everything on defense, causing his body, or avatar, to become dull. Although it still radiated a powerful aura, it was just a sitting duck in Tianyi’s eyes.
Since the God King gave up fighting him, Tianyi didn’t intend to continue fighting. Instead, he appeared at the outermost planet in the core of the Tengri System. The Nine Heavens Nebula Titan’s form shifted, becoming a perfect sphere and covering the entire planet.
Within the sphere-shaped Nine Heavens Nebula Formation, Tianyi increased the power and completely isolated the seventh planet. Although Tianyi had covered the seventh planet within his Nine Heavens Nebula Formation and blocked the Tengri System’s reach, the seventh planet still existed within the system. Moments later, the planet disappeared from the Tengri System and appeared in the Nine Heavens Universe.
The disappearance of the seventh planet caused the Tengri System to weaken. Every celestial body at the center of a system was important and represented an anchor. Losing one meant destabilizing the system. A system wouldn’t necessarily collapse because of its disappearance, but it would enter a vulnerable state. Of course, the importance varied from system to system, especially the orderly ones where everything followed a set of rules like a formation.
There was another method: destroy the system as much as possible, causing chaos and equally breaking the foundation. Tianyi didn’t want to do that unless he had to. It was not that he pitied the denizens of the Tengri System, but if he committed such an act, the Tengri System would become an empty shell. Even if he successfully merged one of his divine conduits with it, the results would not be worth the effort.
Comparatively, Tianyi could just return the planets after he conquered them, returning the Tengri System to its natural state. Naturally, God King Tengri would not allow Tianyi to continue and vehemently opposed him. This led to the resistance from the Tengri System becoming weaker. That was only comparatively speaking.
The trade-off worked wonders for Tengri. Although the God King’s avatar did not return to its peak power, its current strength was more than enough to disrupt the lesser Nine Heavens Nebula Formation from isolating a planet. That naturally meant Tianyi couldn’t loot it into his inner universe.
That didn’t mean Tianyi was helpless. His act of stealing the planets and the countless divine conduits was all to weaken God King Tengri’s will. The greater Nine Heavens Nebula Formation trembled as two more offshoots appeared. The three lesser Nine Heavens Nebula Formations all shrouded planets four, five, and six.
God King Tengri’s avatar howled and split into two, focusing on stopping the lesser Nine Heavens Nebula Formations covering planets five and six. Since that was the case, Tianyi focused on planet four.
Controlling four Nine Heavens Nebula Formations, one greater and three lesser, still put a strain on Tianyi’s mind. So, he used only two of them as smokescreens to attract the God King’s attention. He only made a perfunctory effort to resist the God King’s two avatars. As long as the two lesser Nine Heavens Nebula Formations did not shatter and continued to attract the God King’s attention, Tianyi would be happy.
Tianyi successfully stole the fourth planet. Unlike the seventh planet, Tianyi made sure to place it at the perfect distance around a star similar in size to the current one it orbited. The denizens of the fourth planet panicked when darkness overtook the sky, but although there were some deaths, it was nothing catastrophic, and most life was not affected negatively.
He thought the disappearance of the fourth planet would make the Tengri System weaker, and in a sense, it did. However, Tianyi noticed that God King Tengri’s will became more condensed and focused. If before it was like something was interfering, now the interference had lessened.
If Tianyi had to make a comparison, it would be akin to someone removing unnecessary lines in code and streamlining it.
Tianyi considered returning the fourth planet but thought against it. Originally, he thought God King Tengri simply chose the fifth and sixth planets because they were closer, but now, it seemed that the God King almost wanted Tianyi to take the fourth planet. At least, he considered Tianyi taking the fourth planet a better alternative to taking the fifth and sixth planets.

This confused Tianyi, as sapient life held an important sway in mature systems. If a system did not have sapient life, it would affect its progress.
For now, Tianyi adjusted his target. The third lesser Nine Heavens Nebula Formation skipped over the third and second planets and covered the first planet.
Strictly speaking, the best celestial body to loot would be the sun. With the sun gone, the other planets’ trajectories would be thrown into disarray. As the core of the Tengri System, order was very important.
The reason Tianyi didn’t start with the sun was because of the difficulty. He doubted his lesser Nine Heavens Nebula Formation could completely isolate the sun. Without isolating the sun, he couldn’t teleport it into his Nine Heavens Universe.
God King Tengri shifted focus once he noticed Tianyi’s intention. He ignored the two lesser Nine Heavens Nebula Formations covering the fifth and sixth planets and shot toward the first planet. The more panicked the God King became, the more Tianyi did not want him to succeed.
Two lesser Nine Heavens Nebula Formations sprang from their targets and covered the God King’s two avatars. They no longer kept their original shape and expanded as much as possible, lengthening spacetime to keep the two avatars as far as possible from the first planet.
Had God King Tengri only kept one avatar, Tianyi wasn’t confident he could trap it long enough. Luckily, the God King had split his mighty avatar into two. Just to be on the safe side, he linked the two lesser formations to the greater Nine Heavens Nebula Formation. This decreased their negation of the Tengri System’s influence, but it was worth it for this moment.
Not letting this chance go to waste, the remaining lesser Nine Heavens Nebula Formation covered the first planet and completely isolated it.
Moments later, Tianyi clicked his tongue. “I’ve been tricked.”
Despite Tianyi’s best efforts, he couldn’t pull the first planet into his inner universe. Simultaneously, Tianyi felt a rebound. Not only did the two seemingly trapped avatars dissipate into energy, but his ten divine conduits all suffered mental attacks, stalling their consciousness.
The attack caused a chink in the Chaos Fusion, and God King Tengri took this chance to focus on two conduits.
Unfortunately for God King Tengri, Tianyi shifted the mental shock from the divine conduits to his universe-level consciousness, allowing them to recover swiftly. Because of this, they immediately rebuffed the God King’s attempt. Though they were at a disadvantage, it was impossible for God King Tengri to destroy them with mental attacks.
God King Tengri obviously did not expect such a shift, and all his efforts went down the drain.
Tianyi freed the two lesser Nine Heavens Nebula Formations and attempted to take the fifth and sixth planets, but he discovered that the effort needed had increased exponentially. Either God King Tengri had purposely allowed Tianyi to take the fourth and seventh planets, or the reduced numbers allowed him to protect the remaining ones better.
Whatever the reason, Tianyi could no longer count on taking the planets to weaken the Tengri System. Well, at least not the planets in the central solar system. Tianyi didn’t have his three lesser Nine Heavens Nebula Formations continue to isolate the central planets and had them fly into the distance, searching for other planets. Although those planets might not be as important or populous as the central planets, they should still weaken the Tengri System if Tianyi removed them.
Tianyi wasn’t picky. If he came across a planet, even a rogue one, he would take it into his inner universe. Although minor, each loss made the Tengri System weaker.
And so, Tianyi began a war of attrition with the Tengri System. As time passed, both sides revealed their cards until they had nothing left. The war devolved into an endurance contest. Tianyi discovered that although God King Tengri’s willpower was weaker than expected, it was far more resilient.
Not all of Tianyi’s divine conduits made it. In the war, three of them could not resist much longer and perished, but before they fell, Tianyi made them explode so neither he nor God King Tengri could control much of the area they attempted to fuse. Because they were originally part of him, Tianyi had a higher compatibility and thus more ease in taking over those areas.
All in all, the price was worth it in Tianyi’s opinion. He had expected a far higher price, after all. God King Tengri had been pushed into a greater and greater disadvantage with the passage of time. Barring an intervention from a third party, Tianyi didn’t think the God King could stage a comeback.
Still, he did not lower his guard. It would not be a joke if all his efforts resulted in nothing at the very end.
God King Tengri became increasingly aggressive as he lost more and more ground to Tianyi. Now, except for the core area, everything else had been conquered by Tianyi. He was like a caged beast, running amok, but no matter what he did, he could never break out of his cage.
Tianyi knew that a divinity that merged his divine world with a system could break free, but the cost was simply too high. They would become a divinity without a divine world, making them unable to progress. Still, such a result should be better than death, but contrary to Tianyi’s expectation, God King Tengri never attempted to flee.
Thinking about it, Tianyi could understand a bit. For a divinity, losing their power and having no way to restore it would be akin to a life worse than death. So rather than accept it, he should make a final struggle, hoping for a miracle.
“Not good!”
On his last legs, God King Tengri didn’t attempt to escape. He became deathly calm. For a brief moment, Tianyi sensed the God King’s presence everywhere in the Tengri System, as if he had regained control of it all, but thankfully, that was just an illusion.
What God King Tengri did next made Tianyi’s scalp tingle. He wanted to detonate and set off a chain reaction that would destroy the Tengri System. He wanted to perish with Tianyi.
How could Tianyi allow him to commit such an act? So, he also did everything to contain the God King. The Tengri System could no longer suppress Tianyi’s inner universe. He turned one conduit into a portal and directly released his heaven sense.
The intent of a universe-level consciousness caused God King Tengri to freeze. Perhaps the God King would have been able to recover and implement his last act, but Tianyi never gave him this chance. He directly pocketed the remaining sun and planets in the central solar system, dealing another heavy blow.
Weakened and caught off guard, Tianyi successfully suppressed him. Although God King Tengri managed to explode many parts, much of the foundation and core remained intact.
Finally, Tianyi could sigh with relief. He had the remaining divine conduits restore themselves and continue to merge with the Tengri System. Once they merged everything except each other, they would have fought each other for control had they been different divinities, but they were once one. So, Tianyi just had them meld together and transform into one being. They were of one mind, after all.
This last step only took a few thousand years.
When Tianyi finally succeeded, he couldn’t help but exclaim, “No wonder.”
All his questions were answered once Chaos Fusion succeeded on the Tengri Divine System.
