Chapter 17: The Reason for the Tears

It took me a while to finish crying, after this  I looked ahead again . Now it was the black fenrir who was staring intently at me . I averted my eyes immediately after, I felt as if she was blaming me with her eyes . She also looked down, her eyes darted around the floor . Soon after, she looked at me again, and spoke .

“…Umm… . why…were you crying?”

Her voice was so strained and nervous, I just…laughed .

“Pfft…Ahahah . ”

Crying, soon after laughing, what a complex character .  The black fenrir thought . Also, she soon got annoyed since she couldn’t understand why the girl was laughing .

Amelia finished laughing .

“I’m sorry for laughing like that . You spoke so awkwardly and I laughed unintentionally . I’m sorry if I offended you . Also, I cried because you finally spoke to me and ate in front of me . I was so happy I couldn’t hold back the tears . ”

“I see…”

“Tell me, girl,”

“…? Girl? You mean me?”

“Can I call you by your name then?”

“Sure! Call me Amelia! Martha and Ell call me Lia!”

“Alright then, I’ll call you Amelia . ”

“Yeah!”

“Amelia,”

The black fenrir looked straight at Amelia with a serious face .

“Thank you for saving me . And sorry, even though you healed my wounds and brought me food everyday, I treated you rudely . ”

“I see, I don’t really mind though!”



I grinned .

“You see, Russel told me a black fenrir is really rare and that you probably went through a lot of hardships . Suddenly dragging you here must have been shocking . So I really don’t mind it!”

“Amelia… . I’m really thankful to you . ”

“Okay! Well, I’ll be taking the tray now . ”

I picked the tray up .

“Umm, Amelia . Will you…come bring me…food tomorrow too?”

Her voice wavered as she asked .

“Yes! I’ll come bring it to you!”

I happily gave an immediate answer .

“I see…Err, could it be possible to talk like this again?”

“Of course!”

She smiled brightly as she said that and left the room the black fenrir was staying in .

Then, when I was outside of the room, I cried again . I was just so happy .
