"I’ve never seen water this pure before."

It was the third round of the alchemy competition and changes were made once more to the things that had been provided to them.

This time, it was the water that they used to boil their ingredients in when making their potions.

But other than remarking how pure it was, it didn’t seem like there was another reaction to this water that had been provided.

That was because unlike the divine energy flames, the divine energy water was just normal water. The difference between the divine energy water and water that didn’t have divine energy was just how clear it was.

Of course, that wasn’t the only difference.

After all, this was water that had been created by divine energy.

There was no doubt that there was something special about this water.

This was only something that they discovered when they were reaching the end of their potion brewing.

"This purity, it’s much higher than anything that I’ve made before..."

It wasn’t just a single person that was experiencing this. Almost all of the alchemists found that their potions had a completely different purity than they had before.

When it came to the purity of potions, that was also a measure of how well the potion was made and how much power the potion possessed. After all, a pure potion meant that there was pure medicinal essence that had been gathered inside of it.

So that was why the higher the purity, the better the potion.

And what all of these alchemists had just accomplished was a purity that they had never encountered before.

Then after they had finished brewing, there was a glow that suddenly appeared in their cauldrons.

Others might not know what this glow was, but I was able to figure it the moment that I saw it. As this happened, there was a faint smile that appeared on my face before I said, "Nice, it worked."

"Who do you think gave you this plan in the first place? Of course it would work." Max said with a snort.

It was good that he was confident in his abilities, but this certainly wasn’t the best place to be showing off like this.

Instead of giving him any attention, I focused on the potions that were being presented to the judges.

Though they were glowing, there were a few that I didn’t think really absorbed the divine energy. After all, the glow that was around those potions seemed quite weak.

It was as if there was a large amount of divine energy that disappeared when it was being refined. It was as if there was this large amount of divine energy that escaped the water when it was being refined.

But that was because of the skills of the alchemists that were making the potions.

They weren’t as skilled, which was why they weren’t able to bring out all of the essence of the divine energy water that we gave them. Especially since it was their first time working with the divine energy water.

They just simply weren’t able to use it properly with their ingredients.

However, that didn’t mean that there weren’t those that were able to create some proper potions.

After judging the ones that weren’t as good, the ones that were properly made were brought out.

These ones had the proper glow that one would expect from a potion that was filled with divine energy.

This time, the reactions of the judges were much better than before.

However, there was still a problem.

The judges weren’t able to judge it the way that they would have done previously since they had received their orders.

"Don’t open them or test them like you normally do. Just do a quick check to see how good it is and give your opinions."

This was the order that they received and that made things hard for them.

After all, it was completely different to judge these potions without opening them.

So in the end, they had no choice but to give lukewarm thoughts about these potions.

The crowd naturally noticed this as well, but none of them said anything because of the prestige of these judges. But even without the judges, it was clear who would make it to the next round just based on the glow that was around the potions.

That was more than enough to show which potion was better than the others.

With this judgement over, the potions were all collected and brought to a certain place.

But before they could arrive at the place that they were supposed to go...

"Let me take a look at them." Max really couldn’t hold himself back at all as he rushed to the potions in an attempt to take them and analyze them.

The staff that were transporting the potions were scared and even thought that he was an intruder. But I stopped him and the guards before they could do anything that would be taking things too far.

The guards recognized me right away, so that was why they didn’t beat Max.

Though there was a part of me that felt that would have been the better idea.

After all, he might learn a lesson if he was beaten up...

No, he wouldn’t.

I could see it from the look in his eyes, it was clear that he wouldn’t have taken to heart anything that happened to him if we did beat him up. The only thing that he would have cared about was getting his hands on the potions that were being transported.

"Just bring them to the place that we assigned for them to be placed. Make sure that they’re properly stored." I said to the staff while holding Max back.

They nodded in acknowledgement before quickly making their way out of here.

But Max just insisted on following them.

I agreed since he said that he wouldn’t get in the way, but it was clear that he didn’t plan on keeping this promise.
