"Not there! That one can’t be stored there!"

"Bring that one over here and place it carefully!"

"Yes, make sure that you properly wrap it up to maintain its freshness!"

Once we arrived at the place where the potions would be kept, Max immediately started giving orders to the staff members on how to store the potions.

They looked at him as if he was getting in their way, but they also recognized that Max was right when he gave these orders.

So in the end, they started following what he said after getting confirmation from me.

Still, I didn’t let Max touch these potions since I had no idea what he would have done to them if I were to let them touch them. It was very likely that he would have started doing his tests already if he could get his hands on them.

Once all of the potions were stored, it really seemed like there was something that Max wanted to do.

But to my surprise, it wasn’t what I thought it was.

"Get my assistants to bring these things over. I need to take a look at this space to see where I can set everything up."

It seemed that he recognized that he needed proper equipment to study these potions, which was why he was already making arrangements.

But I stopped him and said, "This isn’t the place where we’ll be testing this."

"Where?"

The intense tone that he had in his voice as he said this took me back a bit, but I still showed him the place that he was looking for.

Once we were there, he didn’t waste any time in giving more orders about things that needed to be brought over and how they should be set up.

I just shook my head seeing this, but I told the staff to go along with him.

After all, there was no one better than Max when it came to analyzing these potions.

This was what he specialized in after all.

"I thought that I would be the one that tested it." Max said in a disappointed voice.

I couldn’t help shaking my head again, but I didn’t say anything as I watched the royal guards in front of me.

I had a hard time deciding who it would be that would be testing these, but then these royal guards volunteered.

However from their expressions, I could tell that they didn’t volunteer for pure intentions.

It seemed that they had heard about what these were and some of them wanted to become stronger.

The ones that had received the weapons from the forging tournament were certainly already stronger than the ones that didn’t. So there were some that couldn’t help being envious towards the ones that had received those weapons.

It did feel like it was a bit unfair for them since they didn’t receive anything, but I did have to make sure that they knew that it wasn’t certain that they would get something out of this.

After all, these were just simple potions that had been crafted during the tournament.

They weren’t anything that would be considered special since they were known formulas.

The only difference was that there was divine energy that was imbued inside of these potions. However, we really didn’t have an idea of what kind of effect the finished potions would have.

Still, that was why we were doing all of this.

We didn’t think that the divine energy would have any bad effects on the potions since it was divine energy, but there was no way to be certain.

The only thing that we had to go on was the analysis of Max and his machines.

These were special things that he had made himself that would be able to analyze the composition of these potions and predict what happened, but there was not much that could be done when it came to divine energy.

At least he said that it wasn’t dangerous...

Even though there really was no basis behind this.

Still, the royal guards were ready to test it and we would be ready to respond the moment that something happened.

That was why we handed the potions to them in the end.

The first royal guard that drank a potion felt the effects immediately.

It wasn’t just that there was this glow that appeared around him that showed the divine energy entering his body, there was also this swelling that came over him.

It wasn’t that he was becoming swollen because of something bad, it was that he was swelling because his muscles had become bigger.

This potion was the safest one out of all the potions, which was why this one was chosen first.

Though when he swelled up like this, we couldn’t help being surprised.

The potion that the royal guard drank was a strengthening potion that would make one stronger.

"I’ve never seen anything this potent before..." Max said in a surprised voice.

For something to even surprise him, it was clear that this potion was something special.

Though why it would have such a strong effect...

"It is because of the divine energy." He said after looking closely at the composition graph.

I didn’t need him to say anything to already figure this out since this was the only reason that could explain why this happened. It was clear that the divine energy had some kind of reinforcing effect on the potions that made them stronger than normal.

Still, it seemed like it was far more effective than we thought it would be.

This really was something special with how much it buffed the royal guard.

"Let’s see how strong you’ve really become."

The royal guard gave a nod and then went up to the test dummy that had been set up.

This was a special test dummy that had been created by Max, so it was able to give far more information than what a normal test dummy would have been able to give.
