After he was gone, the gods became less enthusiastic as before.
The ones that had been gathered all turned to look at Solista after Zwein was sent away from this domain.
But even though all of them were looking at her, Solista didn't say a thing as she just kept staring at where he had been standing just now.
Finally, Vivrum came forward to ask, "How are you feeling?"
Solista slowly turned back to look at her and all of the gods that were there.
After a short silence, she shook her head and said, "I'm fine, you don't have to worry about me."
Vivrum also seemed to hesitate a bit when she heard this before saying with a sigh, "To make you take this task on yourself, it really isn't fair. I know that this was how we decided to divide up the tasks, but it really is putting a lot on you."
Solista just shook her head again before saying, "No, this is what is needed. Before that happens, this needs to be done. Once it's all over, it won't be too late to tell him everything that he needs to know. But before that, we need to make sure that everything works even if it means lying to him."
Vivrum looked like she was worried about Solista, but Solista didn't let her worry as she turned to Aquaron to ask, "What do you think? Will it work?"
Aquaron had been silent the entire time, but it wasn't for the reason that some might think.
He had actually been silent because he had been looking into certain things.
After Solista called out to him like this, he suddenly looked up and said, "It's already working. I can feel the power of Destruction being pushed back. At this rate, it's only a matter of time before they are restrained again. As long as we follow this path, this will be achieved soon."
Solista gave a sigh after hearing this, but her posture told that there was something else that was on her mind.
After another long silence, she said, "The reason why he was brought into this world was to make amends for what happened. The Creation God gave one task and now…"
All of the gods seemed to look a bit down when they heard this.
Seeing this, Solista continued by saying, "The promise that we made with the Creation God…Dragging him into this now seems like it completely goes against that."
All of them seemed even more down when they heard this.
But in the end, Terra was the one that broke this mood of self pity by saying, "We're giving him a life filled with adventure, it's not as if it's a bad thing. Even if he complains, that doesn't mean that he isn't enjoying his new life. In the end, we can just make things up to him afterwards. For now, it's more important that we all work together to deal with the Destruction God."
All of the gods were taken aback since they didn't expect Terra to suddenly say something like this, but they eventually nodded.
"As expected of the eldest god."
That was what everyone thought after listening to what Terra had to say.
Though he looked like a bum that laid around all day, Terra was actually the eldest of all the gods.
He was the one that was supposed to be the big brother of the gods, the one that kept them all together.
Solista gave another sigh, but it seemed like she was also convinced by Terra's words.
Though there was still something that she had to say, "That child was one that was wronged. He was born with a fate of misfortune that he shouldn't have had and was forced to bear that for his entire life. When he came to this world, we should have given him a life without worry instead of dragging him into this."
Then after a pause, she said in a softer voice, "He is our youngest brother after all."
The other gods once again fell into a strange mood after hearing this.
It seemed that none of them were planning to say anything.
Even Terra who had spoken up before remained silent this time.
In the end, without anyone saying anything, they just started to wander off on their own.
Even if they were gods, there were still things for them to do and they couldn't just remain in this place forever. All of them had other things that drew them away from this place.
Eventually, it was only Solista, Vivrum, Terra, and Aquaron that were left in this place.
Solista looked down again before saying, "Should we talk to the others? If they help, then there shouldn't be anything to worry about."
But Vivrum, Terra, and Aquaron seemed to hesitate when they heard this.
After all, the ones that she was referring to were gods that were a bit…
In the end, they slowly nodded in agreement.
It wasn't that they agreed with this, it was just that they had no choice in this matter.
"For our little brother." That was what Solista said before all of them nodded in agreement.
And then these four gods also disappeared from this place.
…
"These gods…" I couldn't help saying to myself when I found that I was back in the main church.
I still remembered the last thing that Solista said to me before sending me back that made me want to say a few choice words to them. If they had something to say, they should have said it earlier instead of waiting until the very last moment…
Still, it wasn't as if there was anything that I could do to them.
They were gods and I was just a mortal.
So the only thing that I could do was let this matter go.
And then I went to the door to leave this main church.
It was just that the moment that I opened the door, I found that I was surrounded by people.
These were the popes of the various churches.
These important people surrounded me and looked at me like excited children.
