"Support?" I asked in a hesitant voice.
Solista gave a nod before saying, "All of them will be sending oracles to their followers to have them help you. We will fully support you in this battle against the forces of Destruction."
At that, the gods that had been silently watching raised their hands and waved at me.
There was an awkward smile that was on my face when I saw this and I slowly raised my hand to wave back at them.
For some reason, it really seemed that the gods were enthusiastic about meeting me and it didn't seem like it was just because Solista had gathered them all here. The way that they were waving really seemed like they were genuinely happy about meeting me.
It was almost like some kind of fan meeting…
I really didn't know how to feel about this.
Solista interrupted my thoughts by suddenly saying, "The reason for this is because we need you humans to work together to find the Relics of Destruction."
"Relics of Destruction?" I asked back in a confused voice.
Solista nodded in response before she continued by saying, "There are four Relics of Destruction in total. These were the relics that were left behind by the God of Destruction after they were sealed away."
"Why didn't you seal off those relics then?" I couldn't help asking.
"It's not that simple. Those Relics of Destruction contain the power of destruction and they are being used by the Creation God to maintain the balance of the world. If they were sealed or destroyed, then the balance of the world would be destroyed along with them." Solista explained.
I did understand what she meant by this, but I also had to ask something else.
"With how important they are, it's only natural that they would be protected with some kind of powerful seal, right? Why would you want me to disturb that seal and remove them from those seals?"
Solista acted like I had hit the nail on the head as she explained, "Just like you said, there are seals that are in place on those Relics of Destruction that regulate their power. However, the forces of Destruction are going for these relics. They want to reclaim them and use their power against the rest of the world."
Then after a pause, she added, "No, even before that, they want to remove those Relics of Destruction from their seals so that we can't use the power of destruction to regulate the balance of the world."
"So they want to destroy the world by destroying the balance. Only will the Destruction God survive that? Even if their goal is the destruction of the world, this kind of method seems like it would destroy everything in the end. It doesn't seem like the kind of method one should use unless they have a death wish."
"Perhaps they do." Solista said, almost as if she was teasing me.
I was sure that there was something else that they were keeping from me when she said this, it was just that I couldn't force a god to tell me something if she didn't want to tell me something.
With the way that she fell silent after this, it even seemed like this was something that she couldn't say.
She had said that she would tell me everything that she could tell me, so for her to fall silent like this now…
I didn't know what kind of restrictions she was under, but it was clear that this was one of the things that she couldn't talk about.
For a god like Solista to be restrained…it had to be the work of a higher tier god.
It had to be the work of the Creation God.
Even though she had made me a hero by giving me the Mark of God, the other things that Solista did were all for my benefit. She had been the first god to help me when I arrived in this world, so it wasn't as if I had a bad impression of her.
So in the end, I decided not to say anything.
"Thank you." There was this soft voice that rang in my ears.
There was no need to guess who this voice came from, even though I couldn't see a single feature of her appearance.
I just gave a simple nod in response.
Once that matter was settled, the only thing that was left was…
"Where are the Relics of Destruction?"
It was one thing to have me go secure the Relics of Destruction, but if they wanted me to find them as well…
Well, then I would have a few choice words for them.
"The Relics of Destruction were sealed by us, it's only natural that we know where they are. You don't have to worry, they aren't that far away in the first place. It's just that it might be hard for you to enter a few of these places." Solista said with a trace of awkwardness at the end of her words.
I couldn't help revealing a bitter smile when I heard this, but I just gave a simple nod in response.
When she told me where they were, that bitter smile filled with even more bitterness.
As she said, these places really weren't that easy to enter.
It would be possible, but it would take quite a bit of effort.
Still, I had already agreed to doing this, so there was no going back on my word now.
"After you obtain the Relics of Destruction, all you have to do is bring it back to the Holy Empire. We'll create special sanctuaries to hold them so that none of the forces of Destruction will be able to reach them."
I nodded in agreement to this before saying, "Alright, let me go back then."
Solista nodded in response, but as I was fading, she added, "Please be careful. Don't underestimate the power of the Relics of Destruction."
"Why would you say that right as you're sending me back?"
That was my last complaint before I reappeared in the church.
