Well then, this is the last volume of Shinmai, but before I state my thanks, let’s start with apologies! I’m sorry it was released later than expected. Despite that, as this was released with Kimirano Light Novel Expo, it managed to win first place in the “Seductive Corruption!” category thanks to your support. There’s also plenty of preorders through specialist shops, and there have been talks about producing more of the extra bonuses. I’m truly thankful. This “Shinmai Maou no Testament” has been going on for a long time, so thank you very much for all your support.
Well then, a little about the contents. This book collects the various short stories, editing them further, and adding on the new prologue and epilogue. Most of the time, the special stories for various shops are written in one go, so to be able to up the quality of them is truly something I, as a writer, am thankful for.
A point worthy of note is the beautiful illustrations. It’s amazing how it fits very well with the theme of Basara and the heroines’ wedding. Actually, the cover setup and even the text of the title is made a little brighter, fitting the bright future Basara and the girls have ahead of them, and with the prologue and epilogue contrasting that of the first volume, so I feel this is an appropriate ending to the series. Perhaps you can look back at it from here if you have the chance.
Now, my final thanks. Firstly, Ookuma-san. Thank you so much for the best illustration up to this point… Including this last volume. Shinmai could be the series it is thanks to your illustration.
And then, for the artists of the manga version, Miyako-sensei and Kiso-sensei. Thank you for your serialization of the Shinmai manga!
For the anime staff, thank you for all your work on the TV animation season 2 + Short OVA + Long OVA! And then thank you to everyone involved in producing this book, the designers, the proofreaders, the management, the bookstores, and the specialist stores as well as all involved and the ones who take care of this book most of all, the editors, thank you very much!
–And Finally, thank you to you, the fans who supported this series.
It’s with a heavy heart that I say this, but this is the end of “Shinmai Maou no Testament”.
Thank you for supporting it for this long.
Well then, I hope to see you again in my next work!

[1] Herbivore guys in Japanese terms = those who are not aggressive/assertive, especially sexually. In contrast, carnivores are those who are aggressive/forward.
[2] This is a difference between a ‘western’ styled wedding vs a ‘traditional’ styled wedding in Japan. The western-styled one is seen as non-religious and wears tuxedos and dresses, while the traditional one wears kimono.
