The text was cut in a weird place, so it might have seemed like that was the right answer, but of course, thinking of “oppai” when “pai” is evoked is the thought process of a young teen. Normally, when talking about “pai”, it’s natural to assume we’re talking about “π”, in other words, pi. 

Pi.

“Eh? But it still doesn’t make a 4-digit code, you know? Then it’s not enough for the code. Wouldn’t inputting the size of my bust have better chances of success…” 

“So the size of your bust goes into 4 digits?” 

“I’m said to be a girl with a large heart, after all.” 

“In your case, what’s large is your sins. They might reach into 4 digits.” 

“How cruel, saying something of the sort to me, loved as the moodmaker in my hometown. My big heart will forgive you, but I wonder what the others will say…” 

“I think they’re applauding.” 

Without a doubt. 

They must be doing the wave in Shikoku. 

“If my size alone isn’t enough, then we just need to add Koyomisan’s. Lend me your chest.” 

“I don’t have such a prominent chest either. Also ‘Lend me your chest,’ I’m not a yokozuna, you know… And not even yokozunas’ chests reach 4 digits.  You know, pi doesn’t really end at 3.14. So, like… 

3.141592, it continues forever, it’s a so-called irrational number.” 

“How detailed. Then isn’t there an error in approximation?” 

“Yeah, and being a mathematician means getting desperate over that error. So if you want a 4-digit number, you just have to input 3.141.” 

Having taken back the initiative, I grabbed the chalk. 

I didn’t know about that old game’s password or whatever, but my knowledge helping us escape from here, to be honest, was a difficult fact to accept. 

It’s said that number won’t be of any use when you get out in society, but to think it would become useful in this situation. 

That reminds me, Euler was the one to first call pi “π”.  While remembering what an ancient member of this 1-3 classroom told me, I wrote the 4 numbers inside the already-drawn 4 blocks contained inside the key.

I’m really glad. 

We had some turns and twists, but looking back on it, that was a disappointingly easy game. The school and the town were saved thanks to that, and I can bid farewell to Chinou-ch…
