Chapter Strong- Jun Build

Aikawa Jun is a contractor. But not just any contractor. She is humanity’s strongest contractor. Among those who know her, being the strongest is the fate which gives Aikawa Jun’s life meaning. If you would speak to those who know her, being the strongest would set to mean Aikawa Jun. 

She takes any job as long as an agreement was made. 

Her recent activities include fighting an alien that fell from the sky, fighting an armed rock, fighting a blazing gaseous life-form, fighting a merman that dominates the oceans and fighting a plant with consciousness. That said, it would perhaps be more proper to label her as mankind’s representative rather than the strongest human. 

In any case, because of the fact she became too strong to the point of currently carrying on her shoulders the role of mankind’s guardian, she felt more like a threat instead of someone dependable, when I asked about her. 

That’s probably it. 

Needless to say, I am definitely not on humanity’s side. That’s right. Araragi Koyomi is on the vampires’ side. 

After going through that hellish Spring Break, I found myself distant from humanity, and while I wouldn’t say I’m like an alien, a rock, a gaseous life-form, a merman, or a plant, I’m also not a proper human being, even if my existence is one of being close and similar to men and women. I became a hostile force which should be generalized and dealt with, in other words, certainly something that should be exterminated. 

Who would’ve thought that I, a mere high school student, would have carried the immense burden of becoming an enemy of the strongest contractor? Well, even if tremendously scared, I was a little proud of it. That said, her self-awareness about being mankind’s representing athlete is completely nonexistent. 

That person is just enjoying her life and isn’t trying at all to question her own strength. She’s solely rejoicing this world. 

That is why those feelings are not of fear nor pride, but of plain interest. 

Interest based on curiosity, in other words, an extreme and irresponsible interest. However, by no means I feel this way because I am standing on the vampires’ side. 

Even for someone with whom I shared that hellish Spring Break... For example, Hanekawa Tsubasa, who knows everything and is definitely on humanity’s side, or even for Oshino Meme, a specialist who serves as the mediator between humans and non-humans, they are constantly filled with curiosity. 

Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade. The iron-blooded, hot-blooded, cold-blooded vampire. 

Someone who I’m willing to bet is the strongest, not falling behind any non-human. If this oddity killer and mankind’s strongest contractor, who claimed the top of humankind, were to face each other, I wonder how it would end. 

The oddities’ strongest and humankind’s strongest. 

There is no way anyone wouldn’t want to witness it. But in reality, if that matchmaking were to be established, I’m sure I wouldn’t just be an irresponsible spectator. If that were to happen, I would go as far as to fight the strongest human.
