AFTERWORD
It’s been a long time. This is Kisetsu Morita!
And this is Volume 2 of I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years…! Once again, lots of new characters made appearances, and Azusa’s surroundings have gotten even livelier!
Please treat Rosalie the ghost, Vania the leviathan, and Pecora the demon king with affection! A big thank-you to Benio, who drew the illustrations!
All right, there are lots of things I have to report this time.
First, Volume 1, which came out in January, has been picked up by a whole lot of people! They tell me it’s the top-selling GA Novel in history! It was such a shocking idea that I seriously didn’t believe it at first, even when my editor told me about it. I have nothing but gratitude for everyone who bought it! Please keep on giving Azusa and the others your support!
In addition, thanks to you, they’ve decided to turn it into a comic!
The vehicle is GanGan GA, and the artist is Yuusuke Shiba! Please look forward to it!
I really can’t wait to see how Azusa and the others are going to move!
Finally, here’s a brief preview for I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years… Volume 3!
• With the addition of a new family member, the blue dragon Flatorte, the house in the highlands grows even livelier!
• Laika and Flatorte have a cookie bake-off with the prestige of dragons hanging in the balance!
• For some reason, Falfa the slime spirit goes back to being a slime?!
• Everyone hunts a boar and eats wild game together!
• A false Azusa, the Witch of the Highlands, appears?!
—Plus a whole lot more! It’s scheduled to go on sale in July!
As Azusa and the others play out more and more stories, I feel as if I’ve gotten used to the house in the highlands and life in the demon lands. People often talk about how characters “just move on their own,” and I think this might be what they mean.
I’m still serializing the story on Shousetsuka ni Narou (So You Want to Be a Novelist), and although I’m the author, even I’m not really sure what’s going to happen next.
I suspect that the vicinity of the house in the highlands is going to keep getting livelier and livelier, so please continue to give us your support!
