AFTERWORD
Hello, this is Kisetsu Morita.
We have a little more info on the anime now! It’ll be airing in the spring of 2021. I hope you’re as excited as I am! The anime production company will be taking care of everything while I chip away at the novels in the long term, so I hope you continue to enjoy the series!
I have yet another piece of news about the anime. Kaede Hondo, who plays Laika, and Sayaka Senbongi, who plays Falfa, will be starting a little radio show! It will be called I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Minutes and Wound Up Talking the Whole Time!
This information will be released on the official social media and whatnot soon, so please keep an eye out!
Next, some things about the manga.
Last month, the seventh volume of the manga adaptation by Yusuke Shiba, and the third volume of I was a Bottom-Tier Bureaucrat for 1,500 Years by Meishi Murakami came out!
Thanks to all your support, the first volume of the manga has gone through fourteen printings. Thank you all so much!
The eighth volume of the manga will be out next March! Please look forward to it!
Also, all the stories from the I was a Bottom-Tier Bureaucrat for 1,500 Years spinoff are now in manga form, plus a few manga-only original stories, so it is now complete. And I’ve already seen the rough storyboards for the next spinoff, Red-Dragon Academy for Girls.
No release date has been set yet, but I believe it will be soon. I hope you check it out as well!
Now, a few words about the drama CDs.
Yukari Tamura, who plays Pecora, will be making her first appearance in the next drama CD!
I may have mentioned this before, but when I was sitting in on the recording, I thought to myself, Oh wow, Pecora’s right there. It really feels like Pecora is speaking. I hope you are able to listen.
And one more thing about the drama CD—as a bonus for this volume, the scripts for the first and second drama CDs have been included in the back (a portion has been edited slightly so that it’s easier to read).
Drama CDs generally can’t be reprinted, and we heard a lot of feedback that many people have been unable to get their hands on them, especially the very first one, which sold out quickly. As the creator, I want everyone to have access to the content, but it isn’t like I can burn these CDs at my own discretion, and I can’t exactly sell the special editions with the CD to people who have already bought the regular edition of the novel. All this made for a rather serious problem.
Our compromise was to include the scripts of the drama CDs as part of the novel. Of course, you won’t get to hear the voices, but please try to imagine them in your head!
Also, for those who managed to get the drama CDs, please enjoy reading it in print! We also have Benio-sensei’s illustrations to go along with the stories, so please be sure to look at those, too!
And finally, some thanks.
Benio, thank you so much for providing us with wonderful illustrations once again! We’ve been with some of these characters all the way since the very beginning, and I feel safe leaving them in your capable hands.
Thank you so much to Yusuke Shiba and Meishi Murakami, who are in charge of the manga adaptations! Special thanks to Meishi Murakami for sticking around for such a long time! Beelzebub, Vania, and Fatla were so lively by the end, as if they were your own characters. It was a lot of fun to compare and contrast your Beelzebub and Mr. Shiba’s Beelzebub.
Thank you to everyone involved with the production of the anime. I know this may seem obvious, but once the anime got started, more people than ever before became involved with the series. I just know it’s going to turn out great!
And of course, I offer my genuine gratitude to the readers who picked up this book and all of those who have continued to support the Killing Slimes series! I hope to keep developing stories just as fun as the anime, and I hope for your continued support!
The next volume, 15, will be out in January! See you next year!
