At the light guild Cait Shelter…
“Hu~”
A handsome middle-aged man with short black hair, wearing silver armor inscribed with the word “ZERO,” sat in the quiet guild hall of Cait Shelter. This guild, one of the light guilds under the Magic Council, was usually bustling, but today it was eerily silent.
The reason for the silence was that everyone, except the armored man, was encased in ice, unable to move or make a sound, their faces frozen in expressions of terror as they looked at the man before them.
“Now, will you tell me where the ancient magic Nirvana is, Guild Master of Cait Shelter?”
The middle-aged man sipped a cup of ice-cold tea, addressing the elderly man in front of him. The man looked like an Indian chief and was almost completely frozen in ice except for his face.
“I will never tell you. Give up! Nirvana was destroyed four hundred years ago! You demons will never get it…”
The elderly man roared defiantly at the middle-aged man.
“Is that so? You won’t tell me? That’s a pity. I thought we could have a nice chat…”
“As for what you said about Nirvana being destroyed four hundred years ago, there’s no need to lie. If it had truly been destroyed, you wouldn’t have lasted this long, unable to pass on to the afterlife.”
The middle-aged man smiled faintly, looking at the elderly man with a hint of amusement in his eyes.
“You? What are you talking about? I don’t understand…”
The elderly man, trembling slightly, realized that his biggest secret might have been discovered by the man before him.
“Hahaha, I’m quite sensitive to the dead. You can’t fool me. You died a long time ago. Not just you, everyone in this guild isn’t alive. They’re all memories you created, right?”
“As for you, the guild master of Cait Shelter, haha, that’s just one of your identities. Shouldn’t I be calling you by your true name, Robin Lu, the chief of the Nirbit tribe from four hundred years ago and the creator of Nirvana?”
The middle-aged man revealed the elderly man’s true identity with a soft laugh.
“Who… who are you?”
The elderly man, Robin Lu, the guild master of Cait Shelter and the chief of the Nirbit tribe from four hundred years ago, asked in shock.
“Who am I? Haha…”
The armored man laughed, his expression turning fierce as a violent, inhuman magic power surged from him.
“I am Silver, a member of Tartaros’s Nine Demon Gates, Absolute Zero. As someone from four hundred years ago, you should know what we Tartaros demons are.”
The middle-aged man revealed his identity. He was Silver, one of the three members of the Nine Demon Gates who didn’t go to the Council or attack Fairy Tail, nor stay at Tartaros.
“Tartaros, you’re demons created by Zeref?!”
Knowing about Tartaros, Robin Lu looked at Silver in shock and awe.
“Now that you know who I am, can you tell me where Nirvana is?”
Silver asked coldly, sitting across from Robin Lu.
“Never! Even if I die here, I will never tell you demons where Nirvana is…”
Robin Lu glared at Silver, his forehead dripping with cold sweat. He wasn’t afraid of dying; he feared these demons getting their hands on Nirvana’s power.
“Haha, of course, you’re not afraid of dying. You’re already dead. But others might not be as fearless!” Silver glanced coldly at Robin Lu, then towards the guild’s entrance. “Am I right, little girl hiding behind the door?”
“What?! Could it be…”
Robin Lu’s forehead broke out in a cold sweat, realizing something terrible.
“Wendy, is that you?”
Robin Lu asked nervously, looking at the small figure outside the door.
“Yes, Grandpa Robin. I came to save you…”
The small figure, now discovered, stepped out from behind the door, nodding firmly with a determined look on her face.
“Foolish child! Run! This person is too strong for you. Besides, with your current strength, you can’t even use attack magic. How will you defeat this monster?”
Robin Lu, his face full of worry, wanted to help Wendy but knew he was powerless against Silver.
“I know…”
“But I can’t just leave you here, Grandpa Robin!”
Wendy clenched her small fists, shouting resolutely.
“Wendy?!”
Robin Lu’s heart softened. He had never seen such a kind-hearted girl.
“But… I’m sorry, Wendy. I have to hurt you…”
Robin Lu couldn’t bear it, but he had to make Wendy leave.
“Wendy, are you joking? When did I ever need you to save me? You’re just a wandering orphan I took in because of that blue-haired boy!”
“By the way, you want to join a guild, right? Let me tell you the truth, everything in this guild is fake. Apart from you, it’s all an illusion! This isn’t a real guild…”
“Now get out of here. Head west, go to your guild!”
Robin Lu yelled at Wendy, but his eyes softened with compassion, guiding her future.
“Go west, Wendy! Go to Fairy Tail, that’s where you belong…”
Robin Lu closed his eyes in pain, waiting for Wendy to leave.
“I know, Grandpa Robin. I heard everything you said…”
But Wendy didn’t leave. She stood her ground, fists clenched tightly.
“What?!”
“If you know, then why haven’t you left to join your guild?”
Robin Lu asked, confused.
“Because this is the guild I want to be in!”
“I can’t forget your teachings, the happiness and laughter everyone here gave me, I can’t forget any of it…”
“Grandpa Robin, I will save you from here!”
The small girl shouted with determination, her belief unwavering.
“Foolish child, I’m already dead. I don’t need saving…”
Robin Lu’s eyes filled with tears. If he hadn’t created Nirvana, and if he had a granddaughter, she would be as cute and kind as Wendy.
“Oh?”
“This is touching, but let’s end this sentimental act!”
“If you keep talking, I’m afraid I might cry~”
As Robin Lu tried to speak, Silver stood up, cracking his neck and staring intently at Wendy, ready to attack.
“Bastard, don’t harm Wendy!”
“If you spare Wendy, I’ll tell you where Nirvana is…”
Robin Lu, seeing Silver stand up, yelled in panic.
“Tell me where Nirvana is? Should have said so earlier.”
“Now it’s too late…”
Silver’s eyes gleamed coldly. He waved his hand, releasing endless ice towards Wendy.
In an instant, a lifelike ice sculpture appeared at the guild’s entrance.
“Wendy, no, don’t…”
“Why did you attack that sweet girl? Why?”
Robin Lu looked at the frozen girl in agony, questioning Silver.
“Why did I attack?”
Silver glanced at Robin Lu, then at a shadow in the corner, waiting until it faded away.
“Grandpa Robin, I came to save you!”
As Robin Lu despaired, a voice came from the guild’s ceiling.
“Wendy?!”
Robin Lu looked up to see Wendy, like an angel with white wings, flying above.
“Hmph~”
“Troublesome girl, you would have been frozen without my help~”
Behind Wendy, a white cat huffed, expressing its displeasure.
“Sorry, Carla, for making you worry.”
Wendy looked apologetic at the white cat.
“Carla?”
“Wendy, Carla, run and don’t worry about me!”
Robin Lu, seeing the white cat, shouted.
“Even if I wanted Wendy to go, she wouldn’t…”
Carla sighed, knowing Wendy wouldn’t leave and might hate her forever if she did.
“Wendy, use your belief and all your magic to defeat the enemy!”
Carla encouraged Wendy.
“Yes!”
Wendy nodded, feeling a connection with Carla. They shot towards the ground like a flash.
“So fast!”
Silver was surprised by Carla’s speed.
In no time, Wendy was in front of Silver.
“Watch, Grandpa Robin. I can protect myself now!”
Wendy thought as she unleashed her magic.
“Sky Dragon’s Wing Attack!”
Wendy put all her strength into her arms, casting Sky Dragon’s Wing Attack!
“Damn it!”
Silver didn’t expect Wendy to use magic. Her full-powered attack sent him flying, crashing through the guild.
“We did it!”
Wendy and Carla cheered, seeing Silver knocked away.
“Wendy, you did it…”
“But…”
Robin Lu, proud but cautious, sweated, knowing Silver wasn’t defeated.
“Grandpa Robin, I’m here to save you!”
After knocking Silver away, Wendy had Carla lower her, running towards Robin Lu to free him from the ice.
“Wendy, run! Don’t worry about me, just run…”
Robin Lu shouted.
“Run? The enemy is defeated, why run?”
Carla asked, confused.
“Because…”
Robin Lu’s lips dried, about to speak, when a shadow loomed over Wendy and Carla.
“Oh? I don’t remember being defeated?”
Silver’s voice came from behind Wendy and Carla.
“What?”
“Impossible, how can someone move after being hit by dragon magic?”
Carla asked, fearfully.
“Ladies, did I ever say I was human? Let me reintroduce myself. I am Silver of Tartaros, Absolute Zero!”
Silver’s hand rested on Wendy and Carla’s shoulders, his icy touch shocking them.
“Liar?”
Tears fell from Wendy’s eyes, her body shaking in despair.
“…”
At the moment Silver attacked, shadows in the guild vanished.
“Huff…”
Silver turned, watching the shadows disappear, then relaxed.
“Robin Lu, there’s no time. Tell
me where Nirvana is before the demons find it…”
Silver’s tone changed, sincerely pleading with Robin Lu.
“What?! What’s going on?”
Confused by Silver’s sudden shift from a demon to a savior, Robin Lu couldn’t grasp the situation.
“No time to explain. The one watching me just left. This is our last chance, please trust me…”
Silver, sweating and shaking, pleaded sincerely.
“But even if you say so…”
Robin Lu hesitated, fearing a trap.
“Grandpa Robin, trust him!”
Wendy spoke up.
“Wendy?”
Both Robin Lu and Silver were surprised.
“The man’s hand is cold but warm. I don’t know why, but I feel he’s not a bad person…”
Wendy sensed Silver’s true heart through his touch.
“Thank you, little girl. I’ll repay you after we destroy Nirvana.”
Silver thanked Wendy, turning to Robin Lu.
“Alright! Since Wendy trusts you, I will too…”
Robin Lu sighed, deciding to trust Silver for Wendy’s sake.
“Thank you!”
Silver bowed to Robin Lu.
“Boom!!”
At that moment, a massive machine broke free, its magic shaking the sky.
“Damn it! I’m too late…”
Silver turned, seeing the giant machine break free, realizing he was too late, and Nirvana had fallen into Tartaros’s hands.
“Nirvana has been unleashed…”
Robin Lu trembled, knowing his four-hundred-year secret had resurfaced.
“Is that Nirvana?”
Carla and Wendy, from inside the guild, saw the giant spider-like machine, a mobile city, massive and terrifying.
“No one can stop it now…”
Silver trembled, knowing even he couldn’t stop Tartaros from obtaining this weapon, turning the world into a purgatory.
“Need help?”
A brown-haired youth, holding a bookmarked E.N.D., appeared beside them.
