"I can understand your curiosity, my origins and those of my siblings are rather shrouded in mystery," Ignis nodded. "Most gods don't even know of our existences, let alone the mortals living in Arcadia right now. We are unknown and forgotten, but that's perhaps what father desired."

"But why?" I wondered.

"Please, master, don't think ill of my father, he did this only to protect us," Ignis explained. "I do not know exactly from what, but it might've been what caused his death. By sealing us in his forges after spending a few hundreds of years with us, he protected us from what was coming… And although they were desolate, lonely days, I spent them mostly sleeping until you appeared. And now, the world has changed, and it is even connected to another. My father is gone now… and I can't say I don't miss him."

"I-I see…" I nodded. "I'm so sorry Ignis…"

"It is fine," Ignis smiled. "It has been many years since father's passing by reasons I don't know, but I am sure he's happy now, that there's someone like you that has inherited his legacy. My other siblings are waiting for you, so please, whenever you have the time, look for them."

"Of course! Ahh, there have been so many things! I'm so sorry but I won't be able to do it any time soon, but once we're finally free from everything, I'll quickly get to it!" I nodded.

"I understand, life can be filled with many challenges, things we're forced to do and others that we want to do ourselves, my siblings are similar to me, they have great patience, they can wait some more," he nodded.

"I'm really sorry…" I sighed.

I felt kind of bad honestly, that they went through these things, and that there are three other siblings I have yet to find!

I bet they're all lonely now…

"Please don't apologize, you've done nothing wrong," he said. "Now, onto other matters, such as what exactly I am? Well, there might be more than one answer… Father created us on his own, we have no mother. He used his Divine Forge Flame and his Soul Essence for our birth, creating us out of his blazing soul. Hence, we were not given physical divine bodies like other gods, and we were born as ethereal, spiritual beings instead."

"I see, so he didn't have a wife?" I wondered.

"He did… once," Ignis sighed. "I do not know what else happened to her, but father would never really talk about his wife. He seemed greatly affected by his passing, however. And the reason he created us was perhaps to feel less lonely. Maybe we were the children he wished to have with her…"

"Oh…" I sighed. "Well, that's… really sad."

"We tried our best to make him happy, we were two males and two females, and we did, for the few hundred of years we lived inside of his Domain, father laughed and was happy, he raised us from small embers into adult spirits," explained Ignis. "But, after he learned of something coming, he quickly decided to leave his inheritance behind, and seal us within all four pieces of it, alongside the Fragments of Time."

"Fragments of Time…?" I wondered. "Did he get those things himself or…?"

"I believe other Gods helped him, a gateway to the past, so future generations would be able to learn from the past and the mistakes we committed," explained Ignis. "With your power, these Fragments of Time, however, have now become a Realm of its own. The Echoes, phantoms of the Past are now Spirits of Time, and quite honestly, I believe father would've been amazed and happy if this happened. In a way, it is as if you've been rewriting the past now, master."

"I-I didn't really intend to… Well, one thing led to another…" I sighed. "Each of these Past Echoes seem to have a Fragment of Time as the core, huh? I wonder if I could combine them with the Realm I've created… Well, we'll have to find them first."

"Indeed," he nodded. "Although we wished we could've roamed the world, father did what he did to protect us, and it worked. So I hold no grudge against him."

"Yeah, I understand much better now, Ignis, thank you for sharing all of this with me…" I said. "I also owe you an apology for not being there for you all the time…"

"Well, I've not been alone though, Ambil visits me daily and forges and talks with me. And your people as well, the large group of blacksmiths you've brought from the Forest of Beginnings, alongside Hammer the Blacksmith, all of them have become precious friends. I rather enjoy teaching young'uns about forging and such, it is a rather delightful thing to see them slowly understand and learn what you're trying to impart into them."

"I see! I'm glad they've been giving you company then… W-Wait a second, if I summoned you here does it mean you can't talk with them now?!" I asked.

"Ah, well, the flames remain so it doesn't really matter," he said. "And right now they were all focused on forging new materials to rebuild the Kingdom. Ambil, Hammer, and the other blacksmiths joined with the Luminous Kingdom by Queen Camilla's request, and are constantly forging nails, metal pillars, steel pipes, and many other things for the reconstruction of the city."

"Ooohh! So they're quite busy, I see," I nodded. "I'm glad they're doing their own thing. I feared I would have to go save them but… I suppose I did well in simply not being there. Letting them solve these things on their own might be for the better, to not make them too used to my help, as it could be detrimental to their own growth."

"Spoken like a true master," Ignis nodded. "That is indeed correct. Your absence has sparked the willpower of these people more than ever before. It seems that you've done well by remaining here and resting, master. You've done more than enough already, to say the least."

"Thank you Ignis," I felt happier.

"Now, enough chit-chat. Shall we make that forge, master?" He said. "I think I have a few ideas…"
