Chapter 2482 Dead ZoneAlex watched in pure horror as a Divinity died in front of him. The swords had appeared out of nowhere and stabbed him. The man wasn't even able to defend himself.
Alex's spine grew unnaturally cold upon seeing that death as he foresaw his own death coming up. He couldn't understand how things had come to be like this.
Still, may it be a Divinity who could kill another Divinity with little effort, he would still fight back.
Midnight arrived in his hand, the black sword a clear contrast against the white snow.
"There's no point in fighting back, Brother Dawnblade," Windborn said. "There is no way out of this. If you were so lucky, you would have left here silently today, but now you must die for it."
"Stop talking so much," the Divine realm woman said. "Get it over with, or they might notice us."
Alex saw the other woman making her way toward him and quickly swung Midnight in her direction. His attacks lacked the power of his Dao, as he couldn't use any at the moment for some reason.
The woman pulled out her own sword, a thin blue blade that shone with each swing. However, she was weaker than Alex, as she struggled to immediately win.
She took a few steps back, a lock of her white hair escaping the side of her veil. Her movements showed that she was surprised, but she came right back at him again.
Alex saw the taller woman's inaction and was relieved. She was too strong for her to dirty her own hands with his blood, so she instead watched the other two kill him.
What Alex needed right now was time anyway, so he began thinking of ways to drag the fight out as long as needed for a God to notice what was happening. Surely his guardian's death would rouse some suspicion somewhere, so he just needed to wait for that moment.
His body felt sluggish due to the cold, something that shouldn't even be affecting him at all. He had never truly been against a Divinity, so he hadn't realized just how overwhelmingly powerful they were against a regular Immortal.
The woman could just leave the ice dome up for a few hours, and Alex would die from the cold alone.
The shorter woman began approaching him and fought back as he attacked her. She did her best to try and get closer, but Alex was clearly stronger than her, so she could not do anything.
Windborn didn't act either. He only stayed back and waited for the battle to be over.
Alex was so very thankful that the two stronger individuals were sitting out of the fight, but it also made him wonder why that was. They should clearly be in a hurry, and yet they were letting the weakest one deal with him.

As Alex pondered the situation, the shorter woman vanished suddenly. Her figure disappeared into the snow, invisible to the naked eye. Even his Demon Eyes failed to find her.
His spiritual sense spread around, and yet he couldn't see anything at all. He could see the Divine realm woman, Windborn, and even the dead Divinity next to him. But he couldn't see the woman.
He felt a sharp pain on the side of his right shoulder as something stabbed him. The blade only made a few inches into his shoulder before stopping, as his physical body was too strong to pierce any further.
Alex turned around at that exact moment and swung his sword at the woman, but she disappeared again.
Alex looked around, trying to see where she was. He searched for her, waiting for her to appear again. The moment he felt a stab in the back of his right thigh, he turned around again, swinging at her. He nearly got her this time.
'How is she doing it?' Alex wondered. 'How is she hiding?'
He needed to figure it out quickly.
The third time Alex was stabbed, close to his left shoulder, he realized something—something that shocked him far more than even seeing the Divinity die.
