Foreword
FRIDAY. JUST TEN DAYS AWAY FROM SUMMER vacation. We’d survived the flames of semester finals, and I was celebrating by minding my own business at a special dive, very far away from school. I ordered my usual: large fries and a cup for the self-serve drink bar. I wiped the sweat from my brow and surveyed my surroundings. Couldn’t act too suspicious. I waited for my fries before heading over to fill my cup.
“Let’s do this.”
The coast was clear. Not a single uniform from my school in sight. I reached into my bag and ruffled around for today’s objective—the latest volume of I Can Act Spoiled If My Little Sister Is Older than Me, Right?
Soda in one hand, light novel in the other, and a big ol’ pile of french fries. Oh yeah. Party time.
