Originally, Hecate hoped to use the purest form of mana to reinforce the frame of her Divine Soul, thereby allowing her rigid soul constitution to withstand a higher density of soul energy.
However, everything changed upon the discovery of Astral Soul Energy.
Astral Soul Energy was simply superior to pure mana in every way in regard to soul cultivation. As such, Hecate was secretly ecstatic when pure mana was further broken down into Astral Soul Energy, the fabled source of power unique to Soul Masters.
Within her family's library, Hecate had once touched upon some subjects related to Astral Soul Energy in her search for a solution to overcome the constraints of her innate soul constitution.
It was said that Astral Soul Energy originated from a mysterious dimension called the Astral Soul Realm. This place was described as the origin of all souls across time and space and had existed much earlier than even the Primal Chaos Era.
In the records, it also explained that the source of all souls came from it and would return to it.
Even if chaosverses reached the end of their destruction and ended all life completely, all sources of soul would return to it to be recycled until the next chao cycle started, regardless of the state they were in.
When Hecate read about this, she thought the Astral Soul Realm was like a database. Souls were practically immortal and imperishable.
As long as it was possible to retrieve souls from the Astral Soul Realm, true death would become a foreign concept and have no meaning. After all, what was true death if revival was still possible?
If even nihility could erase souls in the complete sense, then it was no longer deletion but banishment.
Hecate remembered when she first heard about this; she wondered if all living beings were immortals from a higher dimension, descending into avatars to undergo life's trials without prior memories.
If that was true, then what was the meaning of life? What was the purpose of living? Was life just a game? Or was it a test?
Once the world ended, would they return to their original dimension and recover their memories? Would they receive some sort of score at the end of it all? What if this eternal game of life was just a brief examination for higher-dimensional beings to determine some kind of qualification?
What might seem like an eternity to them could just be an instant for higher-dimensional beings.
Although it was an interesting thought, Hecate knew there was no way of proving it.
After all, even the so-called Astral Soul Realm was only ever mentioned in records. It was a legend that was only passed around, even among Soul Masters. No one had ever truly encountered the Astral Soul Realm or been able to prove its existence.
Perhaps the Astral Soul Realm no longer existed.
Hecate sighed before pushing away her miscellaneous thoughts. She focused on producing astral soul energy to nourish her soul and change her innate soul constitution.
At the same time, she experimented with her power of nihility, testing the decomposition of different objects. She quickly discovered that most items from Chaos could be broken down into pure mana and Astral Soul Energy.
