Chapter 1122: Vicente’s Goal Gets Closer
Two days later, Lyra was accompanying Vicente, Larissa and Rex, traveling through the vicinity of the territory of the Valley of Shadows sect.
At this point, everyone who had to pay for what had happened to Lyra and Rex was already dead, with the sect reformed, with dozens of undead among its current numbers and a new leader: Vicente Fuller.
Vicente wasn’t pretending when he said he would use this sect to represent him in Anicane. After dealing with the initial matters of rescuing his companions, he gave three infernal crowns to the strongest elders of the sect. But none of them had risen to the next level with this opportunity. Unlike Larissa, they already had very strong magical beings, and without first going to Hell, they would be unlikely to improve.
Vicente also gave Rex a crown, since the Flaming Lion had already chosen to follow him to Hell. As for Lyra, she should stay, and he didn’t want to limit her possibilities by giving her a connection to Hell. The resources he had already given her should be enough for her to grow into a local expert and her new position. In addition, she would be his representative in contact with the Valley of Shadows sect, which could also help her in her local future.
Now, even though she had decided to stay and not follow the dangerous path he and his companions would soon be taking in Hell, Lyra still stood by the group. With the little time she knew she would have with Vicente from now on, she wanted to spend as much time with him as possible now to learn about the reality of Hell and the problems that would affect the world in the future.
As an experienced and dedicated historian, Lyra naturally valued the chance to be able to live with a Devil! Not by chance, she was accompanying him on the hunt for his pentagrams!
After resolving the situation of his companions in the Inviting Isles and deciding on his next steps, Vicente waited only for the information that the elders of the Valley of Shadows had collected for him to go ahead with his hunt and strengthen himself.
Two days were enough for them to bring him more than half a dozen targets for his two magical forms. Not only that, within an hour of starting to move, he had already got his 9th pentagram of the first magical form and was now on the hunt for the pentagram for his throne.
Absorbing ’just’ one new violet pentagram wasn’t enough to stimulate Vicente’s already powerful and abundant soul. But now he was close to reaching his second target and was hoping to achieve a small breakthrough capable of taking him to the 6-Star Sorcerer stage.
While his group walked quietly through the dark forest with its many lifeless trees, husks of once colorful and exuberant living beings, the undead made their way without feelings, passing through the middle of strong creatures’ territories as if it were nothing.
Lyra, Rex and Larissa observed the attitude of these beings, but also of Vicente. They were still not used enough to the idea that they represented danger and it was those in their path who should fear and worry about their attitudes!
Vicente was now a Devil, a controller of the afterlife, so strong that he could travel between dimensions and create his own rules.
But Lyra sighed as she looked at Vicente’s peaceful face. He was on the verge of getting a violet essence that so many would give anything for, but he still acted calmly, as if everything was ordinary.
But out of the silence of the night, Rex suddenly opened his mouth as he sensed their target nearby. "Master, it’s just ahead."
