"We can really travel this way?"
"This is much more convenient than a carriage."
The soldiers from the Demon Banner Army were stunned by the efficiency of the rune technology.
As if to create the harmonious exchange between the two sides, Noel and Oscar had agreed to put them in one truck.
The truck had been modified so that there would be two long seats in the back with their backs facing each other. Clothes were used to give shade from the sun, but there was nothing between them and the outside.
Hence, they could simply jump forward in case the demons attacked.
The soldiers from the Demon Banner Army sat facing the left side, while the soldiers from the Ardagan family faced the opposite side.
On the one hand, the soldiers from the Ardagan family had admired the soldiers from the Demon Banner Army. The reputation of the army had been heard by all citizens in the Muivell Kingdom for over a century.
Normal people dreamed of becoming a part of them, but not many were qualified.
At the same time, the Ardagan family had become so strong that their reputation could go toe-to-toe against the Demon Banner Army. Their unique way of fighting showed the normal people that they, too, had a way to make a name for themselves.
That was why, when they heard the army's soldiers praise the marvel of their rune technology, the soldiers from the Ardagan family couldn't help but become proud.
One soldier stepped forward, explaining with a smug smile, "This is not all. Not only does this truck have speed, but the seat can be adjusted as well. During the summer and fall, we are setting up the truck this way, allowing us to observe the surrounding areas while we're moving.
"We can simply jump off the truck and fight if there are any bandits or demons. And with this much shade, there's no need for any escort to get scorched by the sun.
"More importantly, once the winter and spring come, the seat will be moved to the opposite side like a normal carriage and the clothes will be spread all over so that the cold doesn't enter this place.
"Although it's hard to see everything that way, we have a rune to protect the trucks. Besides, with the change of seats, we can use the middle space to bring some items."
They could see some admiration from the army's soldiers. The truck had been modified by Roel so that they didn't need a new one for different seasons.
Their reaction just made the soldiers from the Ardagan family feel proud of themselves.
Still, there was bound to be a conflict when they got too prideful. To avoid the fight and their differences, Noel and Oscar set up one more thing.
All the commanders were to go on a single truck.
Incetta was the driver, and the one accompanying her on the side was Shale.
"This is an interesting technology," said Shale. The awkward silence made Shale glance to the side before looking away. Incetta hadn't said a single word this whole time, making it awkward.
Meanwhile, the rest of the commanders seemed to be getting along.
"Hahahaha. To think that there's someone like you here." Drente laughed out loud, his arm around Howard's neck. The same applied to Howard, as both of them seemed to have their own space.
"So, you can use runes to defeat a superior demon…" Clara whispered quietly.
"Yes. It's really convenient. However, while using runes is convenient, people shouldn't forget to increase the capacity of their spiritual energy. After all, it's still powered up by spiritual energy." Felicia nodded.
Grandell looked awkward because he was sitting next to a mysterious person under Noel. In fact, this was the first time he saw her. The man didn't say anything. He just sat down and crossed his arms.
"Come on. I never thought you had something like this… How much is it?" Oscar smirked. "How about a discount? You have been in my Demon Banner Army in the past, so there should be a friend discount, right?"
"We're talking business right now." Noel shook his head. "What you are asking for is too much."
"Don't you know what we're doing as the Demon Banner Army?" Oscar sighed.
"Don't you know what I'm doing as Marquis Ardagan?" Noel rolled his eyes.
"…" Oscar fell silent before scratching the back of his head.
Suddenly, Clara raised her hand and asked, "Give me one."
"Ah, sure. I have been planning to give you one of these and two transport trucks, to be honest. You can cycle them to all the 15 groups under yours. It's in production, so I will send them in like two weeks."
Clara nodded. "Thank you."
"It's fine." Noel waved his hand.
Oscar was dumbfounded. He pointed at Clara while staring at Noel, speechless. "T-That… What? You…"
Noel shrugged. "The Demon Relief Squad took care of me a lot."
"The Demon Relief Squad is a part of the Demon Banner Army." Oscar gritted his teeth.
"You didn't do anything. Shoo." Clara harrumphed.
"You…" Oscar's eyebrows twitched. "You guys must be planning this, huh? Just you wait."
"So, the person taking care of you gets something?" Shale suddenly poked out from the front seat. "Can I get one too?"
"Of course." Noel nodded.
"You bastard." Oscar clenched his hands into fists. "This is bullying. I'm the commander here."
"Hahahaha!" Shale laughed and just returned as if he didn't want to deal with the aftermath.
Noel shrugged. "Well, I can sell you a bit, not that much. If you don't mind not having the runes to protect them. The Demon Banner Army is strong, right? So, it should be fine without the protection rune.
"I can sell 50 of this beauty and another 50 of the transport trucks. My disciple is the one drawing all the runes, you know? That's why I can't just create so many of them at once. There are a lot of people wanting it as well. I will give you at most a 30% discount."
Oscar clutched his head. "Give me back my Milfa. I need her to do the accounting!"
