"!!!" Noel turned around and lifted up his body with his spiritual energy.
This action was viewed by thousands of people inside the barrack. They couldn't help but get confused as to why their lord suddenly flew into the sky with such a serious expression.
Noel stayed airborne for several seconds before descending back to the ground.
"My lord…" Abel's expression turned grim, wondering if something had gone wrong.
Even Howard had approached him as unrest started to appear among the people.
"Sir…" Howard stopped, waiting for Noel's decision.
Noel just let out a gentle smile. "Hahaha. I guess I scare you a bit. Someone is waiting for me outside. You might not notice his spiritual energy, but I can notice it."
"Is there something wrong, sir? An enemy?" Howard asked.
"No. It's just a personal acquaintance of mine." Noel shook his head. "Sorry, but I will take a small break to have a chat with this guy. It won't take long… probably less than thirty minutes."
Noel's light expression slightly calmed the unrest, but the fact that he needed to go still remained. As a result, they couldn't be so sure yet.
"Anyway, let the people wait for a moment. It won't take long for a small chat." Noel waved his hand.
"Understood." Howard nodded.
"In that case, I'll leave it to you." Noel smiled and flew over once again. He first showed his big, fiery wings, using the majestic sight to make them feel more assured.
With such a power, Noel set off as if telling them he would be fine.
Howard, on the other hand, announced out loud, "There will be a 30-minute break for the sparring session as the lord is meeting an acquaintance."
Although he said it that way, the people couldn't help but feel worried.
Of course, after following him for so long, Howard knew that the person coming this time must be an enemy. That was the only reason Noel looked so serious when he ascended to the sky.
He toned it down, but it was certain to be an enemy. And this enemy was not ordinary.
In fact, he assumed that this enemy was as strong as the lord. If that was the case, a single attack from him might be able to destroy their walls.
Despite his efforts to calm down the people, he noticed that they were still doubting it.
Noel flew directly toward the source of unrest. He was familiar with this power. In fact, the latter actually used this power to lure him out.
Noel only had two options. Either he personally left, even if it meant biting their bait, or stayed to create a defensive formation.
If he ordered the people to the wall and the enemy didn't choose to attack, the people would gradually lose their trust, thinking that their lord had become paranoid.
It was a clever move from the Supreme Devil Organization. That was why Noel was forced to fall into their traps.
As he expected, the one who lured him out was none other than the Supreme Devil.
"So, you dare to come this close to my city!" Noel activated his Fire Transformation. The flame erupted from his body. This battle was different from the previous one. He didn't have to protect anyone from these people.
Hence, he could go all out from the start. Of course, the True Spirit Body would remain as his trump card.
"You are really easy to lure out." The masked man grinned. "Do you think you can do anything against me?"
He swung his blade.
Noel sped up to the very limit and dove straight toward the masked man, hitting his blade before he could release his powerful strike.
Clang!
The clicking sound between two swords echoed, followed by a loud *bam!* as the ground underneath the Supreme Devil turned into a crater.
"Heh? It seems you've learned something." The Supreme Devil noticed that Noel stopped his attack before it was unleashed, allowing him to contain that power.
However, it wasn't enough. The Supreme Devil skillfully spun his body as though he was able to withstand the weight of Noel's attack easily. He then kicked Noel on the side.
Noel used his fire wing to block it, but the kick contained the mysterious power of the Supreme Devil. The fire dispersed almost instantly, forcing Noel to use his arm to block it, resulting in the kick blowing him away.
He crashed into multiple trees before he was able to launch himself up and stabilize his form.
After that, Noel waved his hand, releasing the fire phoenix.
"It's so loud." The Supreme Devil harrumphed after hearing the phoenix's cry as he simply raised his sword and swung it down.
The sword strike sliced the phoenix into two without much resistance and continued toward Noel. Noel looped around the attack to avoid it. However, the sword strike was much more powerful than he thought. It continued to the sky and actually split the cloud in the sky as though it split the sky itself.
"!!!" Noel was quite surprised by the power of that strike.
"What's wrong? You're not taking it? You can see my energy below you, right? Why don't you take it, eh? Esteemed Noel Ardagan?" The guy smirked.
"…" Noel remained calm even from such provocation. He landed on the ground as ice crystals emerged from the ground like a wave.
"Hmph." The Supreme Devil stomped the ground and shattered the ice.
'His attack was able to shatter the ice and disperse the spiritual energy? That sword strike from earlier too… it was able to cut the sky…' Noel frowned.
"Do you think you will understand something by observing my attack? You're overestimating yourself. Why don't you ask Ardagan about this power?" The Supreme Devil grinned. "Or… have you asked him already? What's his answer? Of course, he refused, right?"
"…" Noel didn't answer him, but it was clear enough for the Supreme Devil.
"Hahahaha. Of course, he refused. And because of that, you're going to die here." The Supreme Devil smirked.
"!!!" Noel suddenly felt another presence right behind him. He couldn't sense this guy the whole time. When he took a glimpse of that person, he realized that the Supreme Devil had used his power to hide Alexander's presence. That was right. Alexander was the one accompanying the Supreme Devil. He was about to capture Noel from behind, creating a gap for the Supreme Devil to kill him.
For the Supreme Devil, this sudden attack was used to reveal Noel's trump card or even take him down. However, for Noel, this sudden attack was actually a perfect opportunity to weaken them.
"Sir!" Alexander shouted as he grasped Noel.
But before the Supreme Devil could launch his attack, another person approached them at a speed so fast that even the Supreme Devil reacted a split second too late.
This new person was Rui. Upon her arrival, she punched Alexander on the side, causing him to let Noel go and get blown away.
"Gah!" Alexander gritted his teeth.
"I apologize for being late. To think there are two people like this encroaching on the city…" said Rui. "I will take on that person."
"I will leave him to you." Noel nodded while pointing his blade at the Supreme Devil.
Instead of getting shocked by the appearance of another spirit transcendence rank expert, the Supreme Devil simply smiled. "As expected, you do have a hidden weapon. But this is over for you."
