Noel was staring at the black cube. As he expected, there was nothing special about its outward appearance.
Then again, if this was a test from his ancestor, it was most likely to show his king path. And that king path would definitely be related to spiritual energy.
"Let's see…" Noel closed his eyes while placing his hand on the cube. He then poured his spiritual energy into the cube.
Just like last time, he could sense a channel inside this cube. He gradually filled up all the channels around the surface and gradually moved deeper and deeper into the cube.
However, this was the time when it became complicated. When Noel reached a certain point, he noticed one thing. It was harder to pour his ena inside. It was as if something was blocking it.
He knew it wasn't a wall to block it. It was just giving him a powerful resistance. Although he didn't know what it was, he still continued pouring in as much spiritual energy as possible, trying to use brute force to go deeper.
He did manage to pass it, but the deeper he went, the harder it was for the spiritual energy to flow.
In fact, infusing more spiritual energy would just get the box to repel it as though there was no more room for the spiritual energy.
"As expected, I don't know how to push forward…" Noel muttered.
He crossed his arms while looking up. "Well, the transcendent path is to harness the power of nature. How about the king path? What is more amazing and more complicated than harnessing the power of nature?
"How did it make the Supreme Devil's attack much more powerful and robust? The attack looked thin, but it was somehow much more powerful than mine."
No matter how hard he thought, he couldn't find anything.
"Is there no record of the power of a spirit king? No, wait…" Noel thought about something. "There is a record of that power. Isn't that Old Ru's place? If I go there, can I find something? This time, it will be different since I have become a spirit transcendence…"
In the end, Noel chose to go there, delegating the people to handle his tasks for a day or two.
Since he focused on charity work, he didn't have to handle the government affair for the time being, so he was quite free to pursue this power.
With his current strength and speed, it didn't take long for him to arrive. He used brute force to reach this place, killing any demons that dared to stand in his way.
He once again reached the cliff to reach that place, skillfully annihilating everything on his way.
It didn't seem Old Ru was present, considering he would have come out to meet him already.
Once Noel reached the inside of the mountain, he jumped into the sky and remained in that position for a while, staring at the mountain and everything around it.
"!!!" Noel couldn't help but widen his eyes, suddenly realizing how powerful his ancestor was.
If he looked down, he could see the mountain split up. By closing his eyes, it felt like he could imagine his rage and power.
Back then, his ancestor swung his sword downward, unleashing a tremendous power. He couldn't help but recall the way the Supreme Devil utilized his power.
Unlike his raging spiritual energy, his ancestor cut the mountain first. The energy wasn't as big and powerful. Instead, it was thin and smooth, as though it was blending with nature.
It first cut the mountain before the power contained in that slash suddenly erupted and split the mountain apart. That explosive power pushed away the mountain, which ultimately created this space.
When he turned back, he could see the valley, which was supposed to be the entrance of this mountain, but he realized it was actually a massive cliff. However, his ancestor cut it and turned it into a valley.
His ancestor only swung his sword with one hand diagonally, which created a different path from the mountain but still somehow linked to the mountain.
This time, the slash was different. Judging by how the cliff was destroyed, this slash wasn't as thin as the slash splitting the mountain. Instead, it was rising like a raging wave. It crushed the rock and shattered everything that remained.
Just from these two alone, he realized the Supreme Devil hadn't used everything he had.
The answer he was searching for wasn't about whether it was thin or wide, nor was it raging or calm.
He then turned to the right. Back then, he didn't go this way, so he didn't notice there was actually a rift not far from here.
The rift looked extremely deep, as though there was a slash coming from above and continued for so long.
Curious, Noel entered the rift carefully, noticing that some demons still inhabited this place, especially those who could crawl on the wall. Nevertheless, the rift went so deep that it turned into complete darkness.
With his current strength, he wondered how deep his slash could go. In fact, he wondered the same thing about the mountain and the cliff.
He already had the answer in his heart, even though he didn't really want to admit it. The slash wouldn't even be half as deep compared to this rift, wouldn't be enough to split the cliff, or could only destroy a part of the mountain.
And he calculated it with the True Spirit Body in mind. In other words, his full power.
Noel was completely speechless, knowing the gap between the two. And he never thought the king path would be this powerful.
After inspecting the area, he returned to the mountain and started searching for the trace of their battle, finding a few more answers.
Although this kind of inspection wouldn't allow him to find out the king path, he could eliminate a few things in his mind and work on the rest, which might be the answer he was looking for.
