"What did you say?"

It had only been a few days since the tournaments had ended, but we were still busy developing all of the new divine energy items and accepting all of the talents that we had recruited.

This was the time that we needed peace and quiet to develop our forces.

But this didn’t happen.

"There’s a monster outbreak."

In the past, this wouldn’t have been a strange matter since monster outbreaks were common. But after the formation of the racial alliance, this was considered a strange thing since the racial alliance had already worked together to suppress this problem.

The racial alliance had frequently worked together to gather groups that would suppress the monsters before they could cause a monster outbreak.

This kind of raid was not something that could be organized by a single country for most of the members of the racial alliance since they just didn’t have the resources for it.

A raid of this size was only possible for the racial alliance and those empires.

Though even for the empires, it wasn’t as if this was something that they could organize that easily either.

Monsters were a problem that everyone had to deal with, so it was hard for everyone to deal with them normally.

But this was something that had to be dealt with or else it would be a thorn in their side when dealing with the forces of Destruction. It wasn’t as if they could face the forces of Destruction with this threat behind them.

That was why they had invested all those resources into suppressing monsters.

"How did it happen and where is it happening?" The prime minister was the one that asked this since he had been with me to hear the results of researching the divine energy items.

"We’re not sure." The messengers said in awkward voices.

Before the prime minister could chew them out, there were more messengers that came in that saved these ones.

"There’s a civil war between the monsters."

"Civil war?" All of us repeated in confused voices.

After all, this certainly wasn’t a term that we had been expecting to hear when it came to monsters.

We did know that monsters lived in groups, but they had a much weaker concept of groups than humans and other races did. That meant that they didn’t really guard each other and only cared about what they individually wanted.

The only reason that they came together was for protection since it was better for them to group up to pose more threat.

But when it came down to it, it wasn’t as if they would actually work together.

For monsters, the thing that was the most important to them was their own safety.

That was why it was strange that there would be this kind of civil war.

"There’s no point in asking anything else." I said all of a sudden, stopping the prime minister from saying anything else.

He turned to look at me when he heard this, but he didn’t say anything in the end since he knew that I was right.

"Is the meeting room set up?" That was what the prime minister asked in the end.

The messengers naturally had been prepared for this as they led the way forward.

In a dangerous situation like this, there was only one thing that would happen.

"I see that everyone has gathered." I said when I arrived in the meeting room.

This wasn’t just a simple greeting, it was a fact since everyone had already gathered for the meeting.

This was something that was a threat not just to the Kite Kingdom, but to the entire continent.

After all, it wasn’t just a single country that was under threat from the monsters.

It was all of the countries since there were several different civil wars that had erupted between several different groups of monsters. But that was strange in itself since the monsters didn’t fight amongst themselves like this to begin with.

For them to suddenly declare civil war against each other and on this scale, it was clear that there was something that had been manipulating everything from behind the scenes.

It wasn’t hard to guess that it was related to the forces of Destruction.

They had been too quiet and we had been wondering what they had been up to.

"Were there traces of corruption energy according to the scouts?"

It was only natural that this would be the first question that was brought up by everyone since this was our first thought.

However, it seemed like no one had been able to find a single trace of the corruption energy. It was as if the monsters were just completely clean and didn’t possess any signs of the corruption energy.

"But they wouldn’t move for no reason." I said even though all of the reports from the scouts said that there were no signs of the corruption energy.

"All it would take is for them to take control of the leaders of these monster groups. As long as they take control of them, it would be easy for them to manipulate the rest of the monsters."

That was the general consensus that we came to in the end.

After all, it just didn’t make sense that the forces of Destruction weren’t involved at all.

"So who should we send?"

"We have all of these new recruits and all of these new divine energy items, I think that we can think about organizing them."

As soon as this was suggested, everyone jumped onto this.

It wasn’t that they were planning on just tossing these new talents to the wolves, it was more that they wanted to give them a chance to gain battle experience without putting them in too much danger.

The monsters were dangerous, but they were no where as the corruption energy monsters.

So it would be safer for them to fight these monsters than the actual corruption energy monsters.

But it would also be killing two birds with one stone since we would be testing the divine energy items as well.
