The more that I saw of this city, the more it felt like this place really was something that was created by aliens.

Then did that mean that aliens were the ones that created this place and the gods in the first place?

It made sense if aliens were the ones that created this place since they could have taken the idea for this place from Earth.

But wouldn’t that mean that there were aliens on Earth?

The more that I thought about it, the more tangents I started going through.

"No, stop." I said to myself as I shook my head before focusing on the city in front of me once more.

This wasn’t what I had come here to do, so I had to stop myself from getting too lost in these thoughts. If I let myself become too distracted, then I wouldn’t be able to find the thing that I was looking for.

As such, I started walking into the city.

The place that I had come out of the corridor from was at the very edge of the city.

At least there was a road for me to follow to enter the city, but it felt strange being surrounded by all of these tall buildings like this. It was like I had returned to my past life as I walked through this city, though there were some things that were different like how there wasn’t anyone here.

If this was my past life, then this place should have been filled with all kinds of people heading to different places.

If a street like this was empty in my past life, it meant that something big must have happened.

So that was why it was a strange feeling walking through this place.

Still, I focused on the feeling that was coming from inside of me and followed it to my destination.

From a distance, I hadn’t been able to judge just how wide this city really was.

As I was walking through it, I realized that this place really was quite the large place with how it didn’t seem like I was getting any closer to my destination even though I was moving at a decent pace.

I could tell that there was still quite a distance from the thing that I was feeling that pull towards.

If only Joan had been able to come with me...

To be honest, she would have been able to fit down here, so she certainly would have been able to come down into this city. The only problem was that she was injured and she wasn’t in any condition to move.

So the only thing that I could do was slowly make my way through the city.

Though I had to admit that I couldn’t help peeking into some of the buildings that were around me as I moved through the city. I couldn’t help being curious about just what was inside of these buildings.

When I did, I found that this was a very normal city.

Some of the skyscrapers were offices and some of the skyscrapers were apartments.

No matter how I looked at it, this was just a normal city.

But what was a normal modern city doing in a place like this?

It took a while, but I was finally able to reach the place that I was looking for.

As for how I knew that this was the place, it wasn’t just because of the pull that was coming from inside of me.

It was also because the tall buildings around me suddenly stopped. It was just like how the cave had suddenly transitioned to being that corridor.

It was a bit jarring seeing this change, but I didn’t think much of it as I was focused on one thing that was in front of me.

This was a familiar thing that appeared in front of me.

"Why is it this thing again?" I couldn’t help muttering when I saw this thing standing there.

It was another statue.

This was the same statue as before and I still wasn’t able to see it clearly.

Though the one thing that had changed was that it wasn’t as blurred as before. It felt like part of the thing that was covering the face of this statue had disappeared.

Was it because I had received the divine energy?

After a moment of silently staring at the statue, I stepped forward to see what would happen.

When I came forward, there was a voice that appeared in my mind.

"I never expected you to find this second one so fast."

A bitter smile appeared on my face the moment that I heard this.

I didn’t expect me to find this second inheritance this quickly either. After all, it wasn’t as if I had actually found this place.

It was more that I had accidentally stumbled upon this place when I had been beaten thoroughly.

Being reminded of this was more than a kick in the butt at this moment, but I held back that feeling for now as I waited to see what would happen.

"Since you’ve found the second one, naturally you’ll receive the second inheritance as well. I hope that you have prepared yourself to receive this second inheritance." The voice said once again.

A part of me couldn’t help thinking about what I had seen before and felt a bit caught off guard by this.

After all, the things that I had seen the last time weren’t exactly the best things for me.

To find out more might just make things even worse...

But still, I needed that power right now.

"I’m ready."

"Good. Then I’ll give you the inheritance."

As soon as the voice fell, the same thing happened where I was pulled into a different space.

Only this time, there weren’t any other gods that were here.

There was only a single god that was standing there in front of something.

When I saw the thing that the god was standing in front of, I couldn’t help feeling shocked once more.
