The way that the corruption was appearing, it really seemed like there was something that was behind it.

So instead of going to each of the places where the new sources of corruption were appearing, we were actually heading to the place that was along the path. We were heading ahead of the path to see if we could intercept the thing that was creating all this corruption energy.

If we could find it and stop it…

After all, there had been no clues about why the corruption energy had suddenly appeared like this.

"Spread and search. See if you can find any traces." I said with deeply knitted brows.

Klein and the others immediately nodded in agreement before spreading out on their wyverns.

Chris and Leon seemed like they wanted to go as well, but I stopped them.

They only had a single airship that was holding all of the holy knights and the priests.

Unlike the Klein and the others who were on wyverns, having them search wasn’t as effective since they couldn’t split up. At the same time, if they were to go and search, it wasn’t as if they would be using their full potential.

Rather, it was better for them to stay with me until the end.

If something happened, at least they would be able to help me fight off whatever came with their holy magic.

But since they were just sitting there without doing anything, they couldn’t help feeling awkward.

It was their intelligence that led us here in the first place, so to not do anything now just felt awkward for them.

As we continued going in that direction, I could tell that the light from the Marks of God were getting stronger.

After a while, we finally saw something in front of us.

This was a thing that was flying in the air, but it was a very strange object that was there.

It seemed to be some kind of flying object that was covered in this layer of something.

It was as if it was dragging a cloak of darkness behind it.
