In the end, that was where my experiments ended.

I did have more seeds of corruption with me, but there was no telling what would happen if I were to let them combine.

While I was confident in suppressing the seeds of corruption in their current state, if they were to become stronger…

Well, it would be hard for me to do it on my own.

Even with the holy knights and Moon with me, I didn’t want to take that risk.

If I was going to take that risk, it would of course be in a place where I could fully control everything instead of a kingdom that I was a guest of.

So that was why I put the seeds of corruption away and headed off to bed.

Tomorrow was going to be another long day.

"Time to wake up."

This time, I was the one that woke up first.

Normally, I would actually be the one that woke up last because of how much I would be drained the night before. But this time, I made sure to get a proper night of sleep and even went to sleep early.

It was all for the sake of my speedrun.

Everyone that knew me was surprised to see me rise this early, but they all followed me because I wouldn’t take no for an answer. I had already stopped the night before to rest when I wanted to push on through the night, so they couldn’t stop me now since I had compromised.

As for the king and the nobles of the Tellis Kingdom, it seemed like they wanted us to stay a bit longer.

They offered all kinds of things for us to stay, but they just couldn’t say anything when we said that we were going to take care of the corruption energy in the other small kingdoms.

These were small kingdoms that were in the same situation as them and part of the human race. But most importantly, they were small kingdoms that were under the Holy Empire’s protection as vassals.

As vassals themselves, they couldn’t do anything to harm the interests of the Holy Empire.

So they had no choice but to let us go.

"Where are we going now? Which places are in the most danger?" I asked Chris and Leon as we prepared to head out.

Chris and Leon seemed to hesitate a bit when they heard this before they opened up a map that they had. They looked at it as if they were trying to find the right place to head to.

But before they could give a suggestion…

"Captain, urgent news just came in!"

This was the communication officer of the Holy Empire’s airship.

This person was in charge of the long distance communication equipment that came with the airship. This was the special magic item from the Holy Empire that allowed them to communicate with the Holy Empire from a long distance away.

It was a very special magic item that was both rare and powerful.

As such, it was also one that was very costly and wasn’t something that could be used that easily. It was only because of the Holy Empire’s wealth and resources that they were able to install it in this airship.

Since it was urgent news, it was only natural that this information came from the Holy Empire itself.

The messenger didn’t say anything after coming over, turning to look at the king and nobles of the Tellis Kingdom before waiting for Chris’ reaction.

Chris also turned to look at them and the look on his face made it very clear what he was thinking.

So in the end, the king and nobles of the Tellis Kingdom just awkwardly stepped to the side.

It was only after this happened that Chris gave a nod to the messenger.

The messenger didn’t seem to care that we were still here as well. It was almost as if they had already accepted that I was a part of this.

Though I was the holy son of the Holy Empire technically and the one that was going around helping them take care of the spreading corruption energy.

So I think I did deserve to listen in on this.

"There have been several new spots of corruption energy that appeared."

"Is that it?" Chris slightly knitted his brows when he heard this.

After all, it didn’t seem like this was something that was that important. There were other kingdoms that already had the spreading corruption energy in them and the situation with these kingdoms were more serious than places that just had signs of corruption energy.

It wasn’t as if this was something that should be reported to them unless…

"Take a look at this." The messenger took out a map and spread it out in front of everyone.

This map had several spots that were marked on it.

"These are the spots where they were found?" Chris asked in a slow and deliberate voice.

The messenger nodded in agreement.

That made everyone fall into deep thought.

After all, there was no one that was a fool here and just based on the marks that were on the map, they were able to figure out what the messenger was trying to say. In fact, it was actually quite obvious when they saw the marks that were on the map.

There was a pattern to these marks, one that showed a very clear sign.

But Chris didn’t say anything as he turned to look at me.

The way that he looked at me was as if he was letting me decide everything.

After all, it wasn’t him who was in charge of this group, but rather me.

I was the one that controlled the relics that were used to purify the corruption energy, so it was only natural that I would be in charge.

After a moment of silence, I said in a serious voice, "We’ll go over there and see what we can find."

No one wasted a single moment after this and they all prepared to head off.
