Toujou Basara was born and raised as a member of the Hero Clan.

This became a thing of the past five years ago –when Basara was only ten years old.

When the Village was attacked, an unprecedented ‘tragedy’ took place. At that time, Basara ended up seeing the bloody scene before his eyes, and his power ran rampant.

However –because of Basara, the number of casualties increased.

Because of that, they considered different ways of handling Basara.

Jin, who was lauded as the most powerful hero, and even feared by the enemy as a ‘War God’

during the last war with the demon clan, opposed the punishment for his son Basara.

As this caused internal strife within the village, the elders finally decided to expel Jin and Basara from the Village.

Jin too sheathed his sword so no harm would befall Basara, and the two of them left the Village together.

Basara left behind his hometown and the childhood friends he grew up with.

—And then, Basara and Jin lived normal lives in Tokyo.

Basara went to school like a normal child, while Jin started to work as a photographer. With that, their everyday lives went on.

Despite the difficulties of living a life much unlike what they were used to, the strongest hero Jin is truly impressive, and it turned out that Jin has a talent for photography. Within a short time, he became a famous photographer, giving the Toujou household much allowance in terms of money.

And at the same time, Basara went through elementary school, middle school, then high school without a hitch.

—Time went by and they spent it as civilians.

Even so, during these five years, Basara cannot forget all that happened during the tragedy and what he had done.

However, even beyond how he can take responsibility, he doesn’t know how he should face it.

And with her, the succubus Naruse Maria.
