A sharp crack echoed through the air—the unmistakable sound of bones snapping. What followed was a relentless barrage of forceful blows, each one reverberating like cannon fire.

In that instant, Hank’s entire body was consumed by excruciating pain. It felt as though every nerve had been severed, and his mind was on the brink of collapse from the overwhelming agony.

‘A Grandmaster... This woman is actually a Grandmaster!’ But by the time he realized the horrifying truth, it was far too late—there was no room left for regret.

In the blink of an eye, Hank was reduced to little more than a lifeless rag doll, his body flung through the air by her final devastating strike. Blood sprayed across the night sky, a grotesque contrast to the cold, crisp air.

Doug’s face turned ghostly pale as he watched in horror. His pupils shrank to mere pinpoints, and his entire body froze as though encased in ice.Nôv(el)B\jnn

"Utterly pathetic." Yaeger lowered her fist, her voice cold and devoid of emotion.

At that moment, Hank’s battered body hit the ground with a resounding thud. His eyes rolled back, and his body gave a final twitch before succumbing to unconsciousness.

"Your turn," Yaeger said calmly, shifting her gaze from Hank’s limp form to the petrified Doug.

Doug began to tremble uncontrollably, his overwhelming terror feeling as though it might tear him apart from the inside. “You... Stay back! Don’t come any closer!” he stammered, his voice shaking.

The fear that had gripped him earlier came rushing back, magnified tenfold, rendering him completely helpless. His desperate cries were met only with the sight of a dozen translucent tentacles materializing before him.

Doug’s bulky frame was mercilessly tossed around like a ragdoll as the tentacles struck him repeatedly, each blow echoing like a sharp crack in the night. Before he could even manage a scream, Yaeger delivered a precise strike that rendered him unconscious.

"I wonder how much ransom I can squeeze out of these two... or maybe I’ll just bill them for their medical expenses," Yaeger mused aloud, her voice tinged with mockery. It was clear her mercy wasn’t out of kindness. With her wallet running thin, Yaeger saw this as a prime opportunity to replenish her funds.

Recognizing their influential backgrounds, she naturally intended to milk this situation for all it was worth. Grabbing some rattan vines from the nearby forest, Yaeger began binding them together, only to pause as a thought crossed her mind.

"It’s better if I don’t reveal the full extent of my strength just yet," she murmured to herself. With a wave of her hand, two glowing green needles appeared. She swiftly began performing acupuncture on both Doug and Hank.

It was the very same technique she had used to reduce Jordan to a mindless fool. As long as they were alive, they held value. Nothing else mattered to her.

Within seconds, Yaeger finished her meticulous work.

"Well, it seems I won’t be coming back here anytime soon," she remarked, surveying the scene. She glanced around at the devastation—a ruined landscape marked by shattered earth and scattered debris.

"Heh, that woman was far too arrogant before, acting like she was invincible. But now, she’ll be crushed like the insect she is!" Scarry sneered as he set down his teacup.

The memory of being forced to kneel and having his treasury plundered ignited a surge of hatred in Scarry’s heart, reaching its peak. Simultaneously, an overwhelming sense of ecstasy washed over him. It was the intoxicating bliss of impending vengeance.

"Exactly. This is the inevitable fate of a shortsighted fool who doesn’t understand true strength," Leroy chuckled. But even as he laughed, a sharp pain flared in his chest, wracking his nerves. The lingering injury Yaeger had inflicted tormented him relentlessly.

"Your injury acting up again?" Scarry asked with concern, rising to his feet when he noticed Leroy’s pained expression.

"Yes," Leroy admitted, nodding weakly. "That vile woman fractured my bones that day."

"Why not go to the hospital and have it treated?" Scarry suggested.

"It’s pointless. Her Internal Strength is embedded in the wound. Only a highly skilled healer knowledgeable in Internal Strength can fix this," Leroy said, shaking his head.

"In that case, you should return to the Xu Family tomorrow morning. I’ll handle things here, so there’s no need for you to worry," Scarry replied solemnly as he sat back down.

"That’s my plan as well," Leroy said with a faint sigh.

Knock, knock, knock!

Urgent rapping echoed from the door.

"Heh, speak of the devil—they must be back!" Scarry chuckled lightly as he rose to his feet and called toward the door, "Come in." He could hardly wait to see the look of terror frozen on her severed head!

"Brother Nan, Brother Nan! Th-this... this..." The door burst open as an underling dressed in a black suit rushed in, his face pale and his expression panicked, as though he had just seen a ghost.

"What are you panicking for?" Scarry snapped, his tone laced with irritation.

This man was supposed to be a gangster, yet he acted like a frightened child. Scarry silently lamented how utterly useless the younger generation had become. Suppressing his disapproval, he pressed the man sharply. "Spit it out. What’s going on?"

"Th-that... that woman... w-woman..." the underling stammered, struggling to form a coherent sentence.

"What about this woman? Wait—who exactly are you talking about?" Scarry’s brows furrowed in confusion. It was at that moment Scarry sensed something was very wrong. An ominous feeling crept into his chest, gnawing at his composure.

As if to confirm his suspicions, a bright red figure glided silently into the office. In each hand, she casually held a giant dumpling, her presence radiating an unsettling calm.
