Chapter 526: I Want The World To Feel Pain! (Tremble)
"No!" Farat's scream was hysterical, a reaction to the excruciating pain tearing through his body. He, along with his defeated underlings, was swept away by the golden wave.
"As expected of the Holy Spirit Shard." Yaeger, unbothered by the aftermath, knew victory was hersa complete victory. "It's a pity it drains so much energy." Sheathing her sword, she examined the prismatic golden fragment in her hand, now devoid of energy after the recent attack. Fortuitously, she had activated the Holy Spirit Shard at 200% power, easily overcoming Rosalina and Farat.
"This power exceeded my expectations. Assembling all seven fragments into a Holy Spirit Equipment could yield unimaginable strength." The Holy Spirit Equipment was described as only a notch below an Artifact, though its exact grade remained unspecified. The potential of owning a fully assembled Holy Spirit Equipment filled her with anticipation.
"Collecting the rest of the fragments can wait." With a shake of her head and a glance at the fragment, Yaeger thought of Irene. "Seems I'll need to seek that lusty Saintess' aid again."
Meanwhile, outside the Cathedral of Light, Irene felt an inexplicable chill. "How peculiar. It's warm, yet there's a chill down my spine."
Back on the tenth floor of the grand prison, Yaeger secured the fragments and unlocked the cell door. "Princess!" Layna, having missed the full extent of the battle, was nonetheless captivated by Yaeger's valor, her admiration deepening.
Princess is the best!' With that thought, Layna sprinted out of the cell and stared at Yaeger in gratitude. Her heart raced as her face flushed with emotion.Updated chapters at .com
"We'll be out of here soon," Yaeger assured.
"How?" Layna inquired, aware that the only exit was through the heavily guarded entrance on the first floor.
Once the area was swarming with soldiers, their escape routes would be effectively cut off. It was evident that even without the soldiers, the place was still heavily guarded by formidable individuals. Layna, pondering over this, began to worry and looked towards Yaeger with an anxious expression.
"Could it be that we'll have to fight our way out, risking everything on a slim chance of survival?" This seemed like a desperate measure.
"Don't worry, I have a plan," Yaeger reassured her, gently patting her shoulder before turning her attention to the black-armored soldiers and jailers lying on the ground, severely injured. "But first, I need to deal with them."
