“You’re acting like it’s the end of the world… From what I know, you were the one who broke up with Xixi and I heard that she cried her soul out for you… She talked to Mian a few times and it seemed like she wanted to get back together…” Qin Chu said .

“What do you think?” Rick forced a smile then gulped down the whiskey in his hand .

“Godfather… You’ve had too much to drink,” the butler came up to advise Rick with a fluent British accent .

“Get lost…” Rick gave an icy look .

“You sure are more ruthless compared to before…” Qin Chu exclaimed . He had recalled Rick killing those gangsters without even blinking an eye .

“If I wasn’t ruthless, I wouldn’t be able to sit here today . Then the kingdom my brother and father fought for would be conquered by someone else…”

“I understand . ” Qin Chu nodded .

“Qin Chu, let me ask you . If you were me, would you give up Huo Mian to protect your family’s legacy?”

Before Qin Chu could respond, Rick smiled and said, “You won’t . Huo Mian’s your everything . She’s more important than your own life . You don’t care about your family, business, or legacy… For you, Huo Mian’s enough, right?”
