"To tell you the truth, I don't know either . I told you guys, Qin Chu asked for a divorce," Huo Mian forced a smile after saying this .

"What's Mr . Qin trying to do? Your wedding was going to happen so soon, how could this happen!" Zhu Lingling was furious .

Upon hearing this, Huo Mian looked down . "I'm not sure . "

"Did you ask him why?" Jiang Xiaowei asked quietly .

"I did but he won't tell me . I know he has his reasons, and if he didn't tell me, it means he doesn't want me to know," Huo Mian guessed .

"But… what would push him to do something so heartless and announce your divorce to the world? My gosh, when I saw what he wrote on Weibo, I thought his account was hacked… I really think you should go see a fortune teller, perhaps Mr . Qin was cursed or something . "

"I want to talk to him, but he won't see me . "



"He won't see you?" Jiang Xiaowei and Zhu Lingling asked at the same time, and Huo Mian nodded . "Mhm, he's hiding from me . He's not at the company or at home… I don't even know how to reach him . "

"I have an idea . This afternoon he's going to appear in court… the court date for Xu Changzhi's case is today and since Qin Chu is testifying, he will be appearing in court as a suspect… If he loses his suit, he's going to be in big trouble . "

She really wanted to see Qin Chu and talk things out . She couldn't accept divorce without a reason .

That afternoon at 4 PM, Jiang Xiaowei's driver parked her RV outside the courthouse .

The three of them sat inside the RV quietly until some time later when they finally saw Qin Chu walk out .

He was with Assistant Yang . If he could come out safely, it meant that he was fine .

Comforted, Huo Mian immediately got off the RV and walked towards Qin Chu .

"Um… Sir, the young madam is here," Yang reminded him .

Qin Chu looked up to see Huo Mian walking towards him; as expected, he pretended to be indifferent and strode right into his Maybach . Then, he closed the door with a 'slam' .




Huo Mian stood there awkwardly…

"Young Madam… um… the president has a lot of work . I think he's busy, see you later . "

Then, Yang immediately got onto the passenger seat, leaving Huo Mian standing alone on the sidewalk .

Zhu Lingling got off the RV as well and wrapped Huo Mian with a black scarf . "He refused to talk to you? Let's go . " Zhu Lingling grabbed her arm and tried to pull her away .

"You guys should leave first . "

"Mian…"

"You guys should leave, I'll wait here . Qin Chu… will be back, he won't leave me here . "
