My Werewolf System - Chapter 1250

The giant fierce Werewolf that had caused terror in Saiber's heart the moment he had disappeared, one of the Ironfangs, had just been launched through the air. A devastating attack that should have eliminated anyone. He had seen the rookie survive, and in that moment, Saiber had realized who he was.

He could see Gary standing there with one of his arms fully transformed as he had just delivered the blow—the sign that he was not like them, that he was an Altered.

"That's right..." Saiber thought. "Gary Dem, it's him—that green hair. I can't believe I didn't recognize him for so long. He was the Altered that had grown the Howlers gang and Slough into what it is today. Not just that, but he recently went head to head with Harvor Ego, taking him out of the picture!

"There's no doubt that nearly everyone knows him, for he is one of the strongest Altered in the world. Why though... why is he here, why was he wearing that disguise and working by our side the entire time?"

There were many questions going on in Saiber's head, but his mind wandered as he heard the sound of falling trees and could see large plants ruffling. Although Gary had delivered a strong hit, it wasn't enough to take out an Ironfang—not one with a high-level beast weapon.

Seeing and knowing what was coming towards him, Gary turned to look at Saiber, who was on the ground.

"I'm sorry for lying to you this entire time, there were reasons behind it, I didn't want to trick you." Right then, Gary started to run forward.

As he did, he saw Rex come out on all fours—or more so on threes—as he still had the axe above his shoulder. At the same time, Gary ran forward, and he knew what he needed to do.

[Full transformation]

[Lethal pounce]

Gary's body fully transformed and immediately he jumped from side to side from his skill, and his entire body crashed into Rex before Rex could even swing his axe. The two of them were hurled back into the direction where Rex had just come from, completely disappearing.

The sound of crushing trees and destruction were heard at a fast rate, and Saiber could only imagine what fight was going on inside. Right then, Saiber stood up—his body and mind had somewhat recovered and he could move again, but there was no reason for him to go into the forest.

It was a fight beyond what he could join, and what help would he be anyway?

"ARGH!"

The sound of grunting was coming from his left, and he noticed that the Werewolves were still attacking the other Altered hunters. They were at their limit. They didn't seem to have any large wounds on their body, but they were running low on energy. Tensions were high and they had been fighting for a long time.

Unlike the Werewolves or Altered, they were only human as well.

"I said I would protect them, I have to keep my word!" Saiber ran into the group of Werewolves and jumped up. In the air, he struck one of the Werewolves from behind and landed right in the center.

Right after, he threw one of the daggers, hitting the Werewolf right in the face. The blade was lodged in its eye perfectly. Then, using the ability of the dagger, he dragged his body forward at an incredibly fast speed while holding onto the other dagger.

It stabbed right through the Werewolf's head, killing it in one blow.

"My body's recovered, but I still can't just use its powers as much as before. If I use it too much I'll be done for, but I have to grit and bear the pain!"

Saiber continued, as he pulled his daggers out from the Werewolves and went right into the center of the fight backing up the Altered hunters. He was swinging as much as he could, hitting any Altered he could. He was going to get out of this situation with his people no matter what.

Back in the forest, Gary and Rex had been taking quite the tumble. Gary was in his fully transformed state and was dominating Rex in every way. He was faster than Rex, stronger, and more resilient.

Rex continued to try and activate the power of the axe, producing flames, but it was doing nothing, while Gary wound up his hand, delivering a heavy fist right to Rex's face. It sent him back in the air, and Gary quickly chased after him. As he reached his body, he grabbed onto his head and then kicked his stomach.

The entirety of Rex's body was flung upward in the air—as high and as tall as the biggest tree.

"That smell, this power..." Rex said as he started to gather all of his energy back into the axe.

Right after that, Gary bent his knees and jumped so he was even higher than he had kicked Rex from below.

"You're strong!" Rex said as he continued to pour power into his axe. "But you're nothing compared to Lupus... for this crime, for coming here, he will kill you, and everyone you cared about. We are sick and tired of being treated like dogs... he will make sure that we are treated like the gods we are!"

Gary then launched himself and lifted both of his hands, slamming them right down. Rex had swung the axe at the same time, but Gary's immense amount of power caused the axe to shatter and the rest of the attack forcefully struck Rex, sending him right into the ground, breaking the floor beneath.

The power of the attack caused part of the glass on the outside of the Garden to shatter, and Gary eventually landed on the ground right by Rex's side, who was no longer breathing.

"Does it... have to end like this?" Gary said as he looked at Rex's body. "Can two alphas really not exist?"
