Chapter 4563: Arrive
Editor: Misty Cloud Translations
“Yes, there are, but they only bring up children. For people like us, they won’t let us go to the Upper Realm,” the City Lord said, bowing respectfully. “I would like to ask Young Master Xuanyuan if you can enlighten me on how to reach the Upper Realm?”
“Great strength can break through the void and allow travel. Alternatively, there are teleportation arrays. Or, you can cultivate until you reach a level where the Upper Realm accepts you. However…” Hao’er paused, looking at him. “Your strength might make you a City Lord here, but in the Upper Realm, you’d be obliterated with a snap of a finger if you offended a powerful individual. Moreover, not just the City Lord, but even the guards, are too weak by Upper Realm standards. Even those weaker than you might be from influential families with powerful backing. Therefore, I don’t recommend you going to the Upper Realm.”
The City Lord was stunned and remained silent for a while.
Having been a City Lord for so long, he understood that things weren’t simple, but he still felt a sense of disappointment.
Hao’er changed the subject. “We’re waiting for the sect’s people to come here. If they arrive, bring them to us.”
...
“Young Master is waiting for the sect’s people?” the City Lord asked, surprised.
“Yes,” Hao’er nodded, offering no further explanation.
“Alright, I understand. If they arrive, I’ll bring them to see you,” the City Lord said, bowing before departing.
Ten days passed. Muchen and Muyue, having finished their practice in the courtyard, sat in silence, their hands covering their chests where their hearts beat erratically. They were accustomed to the symptoms, enduring them until they subsided, but the possibility that it was connected to their parents caused them worry.
“Brother, do you think Father and Mother are alright?” Muyue asked softly.
“They should be. Big Brother said they’re very strong,” Muchen replied.
Silver Wolf, who had been resting in the courtyard, stood up and stretched. Walking over to the children, he said, “They’ll be fine. Your parents are very strong; no one can harm them. Besides, if something had happened, it wouldn’t have lasted this long.”
He glanced at them. “Because of your blood ties, the blood curse hasn’t been broken yet. But don’t worry, they’ll find a way to help you when you meet.”
“My Big Brother said we have powerful contracted beasts inside us,” Muyue said, looking at Silver Wolf. “Are they more powerful than you?”
Silver Wolf scoffed. “Not as powerful as me. I am the King of Wolves, the Silver Wolf, and I am not inferior to the Ancient Divine Beasts in combat or speed.”
He paused, muttering to himself. “Ancient Divine Beast,” he sighed. All that he had lost was to this name. But in terms of combat prowess, he definitely wouldn’t say that he was inferior to that Qilin or Nine-tailed Fox.
While the children were chatting with Silver Wolf, a group of travelers arrived at the City Lord’s Manor, looking travel-worn. One of them approached the door and knocked.
