(Nunu Note: I have to admit that I got a little carried away writing this chapter, making the amount of words here almost double that of a normal chapter, enjoy!)
"Dude, I felt like my heart was going to come out of my mouth!" Kurt said as he sat up with a scared expression.
Scott next to Kurt wasn't much better, as his hand holding the glass with a Drink was also shaking a lot.
Alex looked at this with grace and asked. "What was the top speed?"
Kurt just shook his head. "I was too scared to notice."
Scott who directed Bee showed a blank expression. "The most I dared to accelerate was 230 mph (360 km/h), after that I felt that my arms were getting weak and I was afraid to accelerate further."
Alex nodded, if he didn't know that Bee was a Transformers with much more advanced technology than current cars and didn't have Toretto's driving skills, he wouldn't have the courage to go so fast either, since at such speeds high, a slight error is fatal.
"And you, Alex, what was your highest?" Anna who was next to Alex holding his hand asked curiously.
"I think it was 300 mph (480 km/h)." Alex responded matter-of-factly, which made Kurt and Scott's expressions freeze.
If they were already so scared at 230 mph, at 300 mph they would have passed out.
"Sounds like fun." Anna commented.
Alex waved. "It's a lot of fun. Since our bet was canceled because the game stopped after the fight, how about we consider it a win for both of us?"
Anna thought about it and nodded with a smile. "I think it's fair."
"Argument?" Kurt asked confused as Scott frowned.
After listening to Anna's explanation, as the leader of the X-men, Scott was quite disappointed with Bobby's attitude in using his powers on Alex while not knowing that Alex also had powers.
"Sorry about that." Scott said with a serious expression to Alex.
Seeing how serious and polite Scott was being, Alex couldn't help but comment. "You and Jean are a great match, right?"
"You think?!" Scott asked excitedly as his voice got louder, attracting the curious attention of the other people around, making him a little embarrassed.
"It's because you don't know Scott yet, he's too straight for Jean." Anna sighed a little disappointed, knowing why her friend didn't date Scott.
Hearing this, Scott was a little embarrassed, but he didn't deny it.
Thinking about what he knew about the X-men, Alex agreed with what Anna said, but thinking about the people who associated with Jean, Scott was probably the best boyfriend she could have, disregarding his straight personality.
Since thinking about that idiot who was portrayed in her school, or Logan who is old enough to be her grandfather, Scott is the best fit for this, especially considering how much he cares for her.
"At least you already know what to change." Alex smiled at Scott. "And considering how you act when you talk about Bee, I believe that if you treat her from that side as well, everything will be easier."
Hearing this Scott was surprised. Alex was right, he normally acted very serious when he was dealing with the other X-men, and when he went to talk to Jean, his nervousness made him act even more serious, to cover up the embarrassment.
If he tried to be more natural with her, the way he does when talking about cars, wouldn't that be easier?
As if she knew what they were talking about, Jean walked towards them.
"So you're a wizard!" Jean commented as she looked at Alex curiously. "I thought you were a mutant the first time we met."
"Due to my mind?" Alex points to his head with his left hand, which still glows with the magic circle. "I felt your intrusions when we first met, but when I realized they were involuntary I didn't pay much attention to the matter."
Jean was taken aback by Alex's revelation. "So you always felt it?"
Alex nodded.
"And do you have any tips on how to deal with this?" She asked a little frustrated.
"Honestly? Some." Alex said, earning a surprised expression from Jean. "I believe that the best short-term solution is to spend your mental energy to get rid of the excess you have overflowing in your head, this excess is responsible for invading the minds of others unconsciously."
After hearing this, Jean was disappointed again. "But who would let me invade their minds willingly? Everyone has secrets they want to keep, I wouldn't even want to know anyone else's secret."
"Someone with good mental defenses who could protect their memories while you expend your energy." Alex responds with a smile.
Seeing Alex's smile, Jean quickly understood. "You can?"
Nodding, Alex agreed. Despite knowing how powerful Jean was due to the Phoenix Force in her body, it was currently in a dormant state, or perhaps sealed away by Professor Xavier, so Alex had confidence in his Occlumency to deal with it.
