"How?" Kitty had a shocked expression as she looked at the target.
Not only was Kitty like this, but all the other kids were the same way!
To make things more fun, they determined that they would play the game in a championship format, where if a person was eliminated they would lose the chance to continue competing, and only the winners of the previous rounds would remain.
Matches were decided at random, so it was pretty fair.
Usually when young mutants played, they used their powers to help, which made it even more fun. But since Alex was among them today and the Professor warned that Alex didn't know they were mutants, they decided that this would be a game without powers, after all, theoretically it would be unfair to compete with Alex who was just an ordinary human while they used powers.
But they didn't imagine that Alex had [Deadshot Weapon Mastery], meaning as long as he was using something that could be used as a projectile and was within his force range, it would be virtually impossible for him to miss without outside interference.
While the youngsters were struggling to hit the bullseye, Alex was hitting at least 30% of the time, with the other 70% being when he hit the ring next to the bullseye.
Of course, this was deliberately done for Alex, as it would be unfair for him to hit the bullseye 100% of the time.
After winning two games, Alex found himself up against Bobby.
"Hey, Bobby is playing really well too. I don't think I've ever seen him hit so hard." A boy said in surprise.
"It doesn't surprise me that much since he has to practice marksmanship all the time." One girl commented, thinking of Bobby's power training. "But today his condition is really good."
Bobby heard the compliments and looked at Alex teasingly.
Did Alex really not understand why Bobby had to be such an asshole? It was simple for him to understand that Bobby's hostility was due to Anna, as he was looking at Anna's reaction the whole time, but did he really think that showing that attitude would make him look better to Anna?
Anna was looking at Alex worriedly, afraid that Bobby wanted to do something to Alex.
But Alex just shook his head and opened the System screen, which only he could see, and made a purchase without anyone noticing.
Alex felt his body changing, as something started to flow through his veins, before the feeling disappeared and he just felt that this was normal, and new knowledge came to his mind.
Fortunately, Occlumency was very helpful in this regard, as it made the process of separating that memory and organizing it much easier so that it didn't overwhelm his mind.
"Bobby, you go first." Kitty said as she looked at the result of the coin she flipped.
Bobby nodded proudly and flashed Kitty a smile.
If it was normal, Kitty would even feel happy with Bobby's smile, since she also thought he was cute, but she didn't like how Bobby was acting today, so she just ignored it.
Bobby took the javelin in his hand and threw it with confidence, hitting the bullseye for 50 points!
Confident, he looked at Alex who didn't show any reaction. And since Alex was wearing sunglasses because of the sun, Bobby didn't even know if Alex was looking at him, which made the temperature around him drop even more.
