“So the wireless communication device is kept as a secret among you?” (Melinda)

Grandmother sighed… .

“Oh you fool! Do you know how serious chaos your choice has caused?” (Melinda)

Grandmother scolded me without mercy .

“Let that be a lesson to you . Remember the consequences of lacking contact and losing calmness!” (Melinda)

“OK! OK!” (Shin)

Although we managed to subjugate the devils, we were not praised due to our mistakes .

However, grandma was right .

Faced the emergency, we panicked immediately, so we made a false judgement and took the wrong action . That was why we failed . In addition, it could be said that the situation had become strange since the devils’ sudden appearance .

At that time, maybe encircling the street was wiser .

I had been reminded of ‘report, contact and communication’ many times in a previous incarnation…

August told grandpa and grandma what we had heard from devils on the street .

“Schtrom only wants to destroy the Kingdom? Will he stop after this?” (Melinda)

“Devils really said so . ” (August)

Grandfather and grandmother seemed to be thinking about something .

What the hell was going on? Had they gather up the threads?

“Does Schtrom hate the empire?” (Merlin)

Grandmother pondered with her arms crossed and eyebrows frowned .

Then she started to explain her answer .

“Maybe the reason why he hates the empire so much has something to do with his devilization . ” (Melinda)

“Devilization?” (Shin)

“Yes . Although I’m not sure till now, if the cause for Schtrom’s devilization is the same as what I think, the presumption will be true . ” (Melinda)

Grandmother looked at us while speaking .

“The requirement for devilization is not only let the normal magic rampage, but also the magic being infused with strong hatred . ” (Melinda)

Grandmother made a presumption about the devilization .

“I see . Schtrom only turned the ordinary people in the empire into devils because the so-called ordinary people were the ones being abused the hardest and having strong resentment against the empire . ” (Shin)

It was the reason why the number of devils increased every time they attacked the city streets .

The ordinary people were squeezed, so they hate nobles and the empire .

Schtrom took advantage of this to increase his partners .

“However, if it was the strong hatred that turned Schtrom into a devil at first, now that he has reached his goal, what else does he want to do?” (August)

“Nothing else?” (Shin)

“Maybe you are right . ” (August)

So Schtrom didn’t show up .

However, as underdogs, the ordinary people gained the overwhelming strength, so they grew ambitions .

It seemed that we understood the reason why the rebellion broke out in devils a little .

Facing August who was full of expectations, grandmother answered with a worried look, because their enemies were devils .

After turning into a devil, a person’s values would change dramatically, which was why grandmother looked worried .

It was unnecessary to put everybody at risk .

“Put aside Schtrom’s affair . We can temporarily declare to the World Alliance that all devils were subjugated . ” (August)

“Let’s go back to Earlshide first . ” (Melinda)

“See you later . ” (Merlin)

While talking, grandfather opened the Gate .

I asked my grandmother about one thing I cared about .

“Grandma, how on earth did you notice the aspect about devilization? Do you know something new about the devil that you once confronted?” (Shin)

Hearing my question, grandfather and grandmother showed a grim expression immediately .

“Shin . ” (Merlin)

“What? Grandpa?” (Shin)

“We’ll talk about it later . ” (Merlin)

Giving me that answer, grandfather and grandmother walked into the Gate .

Their reaction showed that they must know something .

However, maybe they had gloom over the past thing .

If not, they shouldn’t have showed that expression .

Although they said that it would be discussed later, maybe it was a question that should not be asked .

“Shin . ” (Sicily)

“Oh?” (Shin)

I asked abruptly though they were my grandparents . While I was thinking of that, Sicily talked to me .

“It doesn’t matter . Your grandparents won’t say something that they don’t want to say, so what you have heard is something they can say . ” (Sicily)

“Really?” (Shin)

“That’s right . ” (Sicily)

It was true .

Grandfather told me that he would tell me about it later . There shouldn’t be a problem .

“Sicily, thank you . ” (Shin)

“You’re welcome . ” (Sicily)

I felt gloomy because I was scolded and did something rashly, but I was cheered up by her words .

“OK! Let’s move out to join the World Alliance and report the victory to them!” (Shin)

We opened the Gate to the street where devils gathered .

Melinda, who returned to the capital from the plain, expressed the idea that she hadn’t said though she wanted to talk about in a voice that only Merlin could hear .

“If people lose interest in everything…” (Melinda)

Melinda imagined the future that she never wanted to see .

“I hope I guess wrong . ” (Melinda)

Looking at Melinda, Merlin showed a complicated expression .

When we arrived at the street, we didn’t see the World Alliance .

Maybe they had started marching towards the capital .

In order to catch up with them, we flew in the direction to the capital by using the floating magic .  

We caught up with them soon . However, what we saw was the Earlshide army and the World Alliance jointly subjugating devils .

“How could this happen?” (Shin)

“Oh! Shin!” (Sieg)

The scene of they subjugating devils made me confused . While I was wondering, Sieg greeted me in the Earlshide army .

I landed and walked to Sieg .

“How are the devils?” (Shin)
