Two hours later.

The first rays of sun were peaking over the horizon.

“Hwaaah.”

In the middle of the Lord’s office, a silver beastperson stifled a small yawn. The beast’s entire body was covered in a thick coat of fur like a fox’s, but they seemed oddly welcoming—and resembled a cross between a girl and a cat.

This beast was the leader of the Empire, Lord Yunmelngen.

“So Imperial soldiers are supposed to protect the Empire. Isn’t that right?”

“……Yes.”

“I can’t believe that Saint Disciples—the people who should be serving as role models for the other soldiers—set up an explosion in front of my office.”

“…I’m very sorry.”

“I thought the Founder had woken up at first.”

“I’m so sorry for all the trouble we caused you.”

The Lord sat cross-legged. Risya stood at attention in front of them, nursing the burns on her face. She was currently being scolded.

“We even had to use the anti-fire shutters we prepped for the Founder. Thanks to that, damage was kept to a minimum.”

“If there wasn’t much damage, then did you really need to lecture me for hours?”

“Did you say something?”

“No, nothing at all!”

After they had put out the fire from the gigantic explosion, Risya rang in the new year with a two-hour scolding session from the Lord.
