It was like a song. Like a poem being recited. The silver-furred beastperson—Lord Yunmelngen—looked up at the vermilion ceiling and hummed.
“I’m looking forward to it. My blood is racing. Hurry, witch of Illumination.”
“Call Lady Sisbell by her name,” said someone who sounded rather peeved.
Behind the standing Lord, Rin pouted where she sat on the tatami.
“So we’ll see Lady Sisbell soon, then? I’ll have you know that you’d better not call her a witch to her face.”
“Yes, yes.”
“Do you really understand?”
“I won’t do that.”
“Hm?” Rin raised an eyebrow.
The beast’s slightly sarcastic words implied that the Lord wouldn’t call her a witch, but someone else would.
“You little—”
“I have something to say to you, too. You should get ready. The Third Princess Sisbell is coming. And we’ll finally see who was behind everything.”
Lord Yunmelngen was still staring at the ceiling.
