Yes, I am one of the beastkin who moved to the Big Tree Village when I was little.
In the village, I mainly took care of the cows and horses while helping out with farm work.
It’s a life with no complaints.

Caring for the children born to Sena-sama and the other beastgirls fulfills my maternal instincts.

As I was going about my daily life, for some reason, I ended up being appointed as the acting manager of the patisserie in Village Five.
If I were to take on the role of acting manager there, that would mean I’d have to be stationed in Village Five permanently.
Does this mean I’m being driven out of Big Tree Village?
Panicked, I hurried to find out why this had happened to me.
It seemed the angels had been at work behind the scenes.

And it was Sena-sama who recommended me to them.

I shouted in frustration, but Sena-sama didn’t get angry. Instead, she calmly explained.
She didn’t recommend me because she disliked me—she recommended me because I was someone who could be sent outside the village without issue.
In other words, trust!
She chose me precisely because she trusted me.

To think that you trusted me that much, and yet I jumped to conclusions...
I will do my utmost to live up to that trust!

Western sweets refer to a broad category of confections, classified as such by village chief.
Cakes, cookies, and puddings fall under Western sweets, whereas dango and mochi are considered Japanese sweets.
But is there really a need to classify them?
Well, since village chief decided so, I suppose it must be.

Let’s talk about the kitchen facilities and equipment.
There’s a magical oven that maintains a constant heat, a refrigerator that keeps items cool, a freezer that preserves items in a frozen state, a magical mixer that stirs ingredients at high speed, and even a magic pot that heats water instantly—just to name a few.
All of them are available in multiple units and are designed to be user-friendly in size.
Since the kitchen will be operating with a ten-person rotating staff, having multiple units is a necessity.
Oh, and one more thing—the building is fully equipped with running water.
Water from a storage tank on the roof is distributed throughout the building via a network of pipes, allowing access to water with a simple operation.
Since this system is a given in village chief’s mansion back in the Big Tree Village, I nearly overlooked mentioning it.

However, no matter how many times I look at it, this building is truly magnificent.
It’s made of brick, but thanks to the large glass windows strategically placed throughout, the interior is bright and has a surprisingly open feel despite the solid exterior.
You might think the glass windows would be fragile, but for some reason, they’re incredibly sturdy.
Village chief called it “tempered glass.”
Most likely, it was developed during the creation of the magical doors.
I also heard that something was done to the bricks, but I’m not sure what exactly.
Since village chief is always concerned about fire hazards, it’s probably some kind of fireproofing measure.
Of course, I hope we never find ourselves in a situation where that’s put to the test.
