Chapter 1073: The Iron Furball
Situated 200 kilometres from the Guna Caves was a forest, not bearing anything special to it other than a multitude of Iron Grade Pranic Beast Races living amongst it.
This region hadn’t created any waves, native to creates considered prey even for Iron Grade Pranic Beasts. They had great fertility, and the region was capable of sustaining a large enough population.
In essence, they were prey for the natives of the Guna Caves, especially the Shifting Ants. Forming large raid groups, the Shifting Ants would storm out of the Guna Caves, invade this region, capture as many natives as required, and return to their home.
Once the population in the region recovers to normal, the Shifting Ants would invade once again.
Currently, one Shifting Ant raid group was filing toward the forest when suddenly, their mandibles clattered. Their eyes, adapted to the darkness of the Guna Caves, burst from overexposure as a powerful hemispherical explosion of light swooned over them.
The light was merely concentrated streams of Prana fuelling psychokinesis, which was so dense even light was getting refracted through it. As the dome washed over, the group of Shifting Ants, numbering over forty thousand, lay twitching, in parts, until the trace amounts of Prana in the twitching parts dissipated.
Ka-Boom!
The explosion spread for dozens of kilometres, exhibiting a powerful presence suffocating enough to explode the bodies of Iron Grade Pranic Beasts upon mere exposure.
And at the centre of such an explosion, groaning in pain as the skin over her body flew off like shed leaves in an autumn forest setting, was Ruvva. "U-Uncle!"
In proximity to her was Orakha, the source of the explosion. All the latter had done was release his presence by pouring out his Prana, without any control. And that resulted in such devastation.
"Uncle! Please stop!"
"You’ll destroy everything..." As Ruvva screamed, the violent storm of Prana ripping her skin nonstop vanished, as if it had never existed in the first place. Standing before her, followed by a subtle golden flash, was Orakha.
With a calm, peaceful smile, Orakha raised his arm and wiped Ruvva’s face. And as he did so, the latter’s skin regenerated spontaneously. He wasn’t helping her regenerate. Rather, he was erasing the violent storm of psychokinesis that had invaded her body and was impeding her regenerative powers.
"Are you alright?" Orakha asked in concern, "I apologise for losing my cool. That was pretty unsightly of me to do so."
"It’s...it’s alright," Ruvva shook her head and calmed her thumping heart as she stared at the figure of Orakha, ’His strength...is on a whole other level.’
A similar Mystic Grade existence, Boul Brimgan, typically unleashed his power through a Spirit Weapon, as how all Brimgan Royals fought. Their sheer accuracy and precision made them existences capable of focused output of their power.
However, only when Orakha unleashed an explosion of power radially did Ruvva understand the might of the Rutham build, ’It’s a simple, but explosive power.’
Rutham spiked the power of psychokinesis, whether it be speed, power, or range. Due to its influence, a Brimgan Royal only wielded it using a Spirit Weapon and didn’t just blast off their psychokinesis through their presence like Orakha had done.
"Shall we get going?" Orakha asked as he observed his body and then smiled wryly, "Also, please make another puppet for me."
As he spoke, his form crumbled, revealing the 30-metre-tall golden giant, "I was barely holding it through psychokinesis. My outburst shredded it to bits."
"Yes," Ruvva created another puppet and watched it turn into Orakha upon being subjected to a pillar of light.
"Give me a moment," Orakha said and approached the farther end of the crater he had created. He silently kneeled before the body parts of the Shifting Ant carcasses and offered a prayer, "I apologise for such a senseless slaughter. I ended up killing you for something other than to satiate my hunger or for a purpose."
"For that, I apologise, which is all I can do for now." He slowly got up and stared at the Guna Caves, "I promise to help your race a little once I return with my intended build."
"Uncle!" Suddenly, Ruvva’s flustered shout resounded as Orakha spontaneously used his Prana detection means, turned into a golden flash, and appeared before his niece.
"L-Look at that..." Ruvva pointed at the centre of the crater where Orakha had released his explosion. Now, there was a sphere of energy congregating at the spot, whirling like a vortex.
Even though a violent storm of Prana had gathered within the vortex, not even a wisp of it leaked out. Unless one was using their Prana detection means, they wouldn’t sense it.
"What is this?" Ruvva shrilled as goosebumps appeared on her skin, "My detection means is going haywire..."
"Step back," Orakha said as he covered Ruvva’s eyes and ears, "Your resistance hasn’t reached a level where you could see this and remain sane."
