Chapter 1067: Brully Revival (Part 4)
What did an adult Brully do primitively upon reaching maturity? They engaged in endless fights, obviously. However, if they felt the weapon arms they were naturally born with weren’t optimal to their tastes, they would change them.
At maturity, a Brully could extract the Billakin forming their hearts and gather it as a Spirit Weapon. Since they had three hearts, they took time extracting little from each of them. After extraction, Billakin will begin to accumulate in the first heart, until it is back at full capacity.
In this time period, the remaining two hearts would share the burden of upkeeping the body’s functions. Little by little, Billakin would be extracted from the three hearts, one after another, until a suitable amount had been gathered.
Once enough had been gathered, the Billakin would be turned into a Spirit Weapon. This process too took time, since the Brully would have to use its psychokinesis to process the extracted Billakin and clump it up into a Spirit Weapon.
Pranic Beasts didn’t require a cultivation technique. They naturally had everything a cultivation technique could imbue. Therefore, by investing some time, the Brully turned the Billakin into a Spirit Weapon, which naturally conformed to a hammer.
Depending on its taste, the shape of the hammer would vary. But universally, every Brully resorted to using a hammer, including Inala.
After the hammer is created, the Brully would begin hammering its hands in an effort to mould its shape, little by little, over time, allowing for its Prana to adapt to the changes and not resist it too much.
It required a lot of trial and error, since if the changes were too much, the Prana would begin reverting it back to original. So, it had to be done gradually, until the shape is fully changed. This process took anywhere from decades to even a century.
Typically, a Brully didn’t add a mineral to its hands, for that was distracting. One of the few instances when it felt the need to add a mineral was in preparation to face an Empyrean Whisker.
Ignoring the mineral part, it was within a Brully’s capability to use its Billakin hammer to hammer away at its arms and change its structure over time. And that formed the basis of Inala’s hypothesis, ’Can’t that be extended to the entire body?’
A Brully had three sets of internal organs. Therefore, it could endure the severe strain the body is subjected to during the entire process. Even if a heart attack happens, only one heart gets compromised.
Thanks to the Nature of Cyclic Recovery, the second heart would naturally take over the function of upkeeping the body. By the time the second and third hearts tire out, the first would have already finished its recovery.
’A Nature has to be created in line with the respective Race’s train of thought and something that is a significant part of its life.’ Inala thought, ’Since a Brully naturally spends a significant part of its lifespan modifying its hands, it is only natural to have a Nature related to this.’
Any state of existence, taken to the extreme, and capable of interacting with Prana, becomes a Nature.
Inala’s method would consist of a Brully modifying its body from being a Brully to becoming a human. The sheer strain was immense. And the necessary time would easily surpass a century.
Moreover, even at the end of this process, a Nature wouldn’t appear. After all, even when a Brully turns its arms into a mineral Spirit Weapon, it doesn’t obtain the Nature of Weapon Hands.
To get it, Inala had to repeatedly change its mineral makeup and adapt to the process. Eventually, once his hands kept changing into different Spirit Weapons and adapted to the capability of change, the Nature was born.
Similarly, a Brully needs to become a human, and then revert to its original form. This process has to be looped endlessly without mistakes, until the body adapts to the ability to modify itself, and births a Nature.
In both situations, unless everything was done perfectly, failure was all that was present at the end. And even in the chance of success, the Brully might have spent more than a millennium. That was how long the process demanded.
Had it been in the past, no one would have bothered to attempt it. Of course, if a Brully had been obsessive enough, it could still reach that point.
However, during the Brully Invasion, there wasn’t an enemy strong enough to excite the Brully in preparing for a millennium.
The only powerful existence was the Mystic Empyrean Tentacle, which was considered a natural disaster. No amount of preparation seemed enough, so a Brully group would charge head on against a Mystic Empyrean Tentacle and meet a glorious end.
Had there been Empyrean Tusks and Empyrean Snappers during the Brully Invasion, the Brully Race would have very well figured out the means to obtain Weapon Hands.
Things were different in this era, especially due to the creation of Mystic Sumatra Art. "And that’s enough."
It greatly shortened the necessary time, thanks to its imprinting capabilities, ’It didn’t seem impressive enough at the start.’
After all, whatever Mystic Sumatra Art could achieve was a fraction of what Mystic Bone Art did. And this was a Mystic Bone Art before the First Major Disaster.
Currently, with all the development it had experienced, Mystic Bone Art was in a league of its own, being the most developed Mystic Grade cultivation technique.
"However, the true value of Mystic Sumatra Art is displayed in the hands of a Pranic Beast." Inala felt it strongly now. Mystic Sumatra Art was the key using which a Pranic Beast could attain its Secondary and Tertiary Nature.
It was easier said than done. However, a path existed in this cultivation technique.
For both the Natures of Weapon Hands and Cultivator, all a Brully needed was a Billakin Hammer. ’Of course, the conditions are different for a Cultivator.’
At maturity, a Brully spanned a height of 80 metres. Inala would be at 100 metres due to shifting to the Body path. A Mind path Brully reached 80 metres at maturity.
A human, even the largest of their kind, reached two metres. Ruvva and Gannala were slightly taller, but that was because of their Empyrean Tusk genetics.
To shrink from a height of 80 metres to 2 metres would require a complete restructuring of the body, including the internal organs. Even a madman would feel lacking in spirit to undergo this process.
