Chapter 1038: Not YOU Too!
"How DARE YOU?" Zhya roared in anger and unleashed multiple sonic beams to target Ruvva, "Are you out of your mind?"
"You killed our Guardian!"
"Oh, come on!" Ruvva screamed in protest as her figure was sent flying by the attack. She coolly landed on the water and unleashed Prana Shock to push Zhya away this time, "If you could control him, I wouldn’t have done that."
"It’s literally your incompetence, isn’t it?" She kicked the water and used Prana Flash to approach Zhya, cranking her hand to the back in an effort to unleash a straight right. Before she did that though, Ruvva eyed Zhya’s appearance, ’This woman!’
Zhya’s actions screamed at the fact that she was brimming with rage, whether it be her face, her body language, or the sheer spikes her presence displayed. It felt like she would go to war.
However, Ruvva felt as if Zhya wasn’t the slightest bit angry. Instead, she seemed chirper, as if things were going her way, ’What exactly does she want?’
A few minutes of nonstop exchanges later, Ruvva could state with assurance by now that Zhya wasn’t in the slightest bit angry at her, ’She hasn’t tried to kill me even once. Her attacks seem devastating, but they just seem like that.’
’It’s like...how an adult would play fight with a kid.’ The shockwaves Zhya was releasing felt like a mixture of Tangible Piezo Slips and Perfect Biome Domination cranked to the destructive limit.
However, they didn’t have any substance to it. All they did was send Ruvva flying away time and again. Blood splashed nonstop from Ruvva’s body, but the injuries weren’t in the slightest dangerous.
Ruvva could casually reclaim the blood, since it was pretty much her Spirit Weapon. And as she continued to fight, her eyes shot to the Brimgan Royals who were spectating the battle, ’Ah, I see. So, that’s what’s going on.’
[You’re not fast on the uptake, huh?]
As if waiting for her to realise, Zhya communicate to her using a Tangible Piezo Slip amidst an attack.
"That’s what happens when you try to invade the Brimgan Empire!" Ruvva roared and unleashed a Prana Shock. During the attack, she sent a Spirit Container cluster flying into Zhya’s mouth, which was an Information Slip recorded with her reply.
[There’s a lot on my plate now. And I never knew Yamahara was in my Empire.]
Ruvva felt a mild lag in the attacks from the other party. And soon, a reply appeared in the form of a Tangible Piezo Slip. Externally, a tsunami occurred in the Brimgan Sea thanks to Zhya’s attack.
[It was the safest choice back then, still is. Only the Brimgan Empire has enough defences to prevent any external party from figuring it out. Also, in the case Yamahara ever breaks out prematurely, you have the means to stop him.]
’So, that’s why.’ Ruvva thought and then asked.
[Are you not angry at the fact I killed Root?]
The moment she asked it, Ruvva could swear she almost heard a chuckle escape from the other party’s mouth.
[Why would I be angry? I am aware Brangara created Yamahara as a Mystic Path inheritor. Considering what I saw at the Abode of the Mystics, it seems the Mystic Paths are activating. I thought they would spontaneously activate and that was it, but things are playing out differently.]
A pause later, another Tangible Piezo Slip touched Ruvva.
[The Mystic Path was causing Root to act crazy. So, I’m actually glad you killed him. Thankfully, it seems he realised it too, which is why he didn’t resist after tasting defeat.]
’Then, how long do we need to keep up with this fiasco?’ Ruvva communicated her thoughts to Zhya, expressing her worry, ’Somehow, Virala’s mind has been taken over by Brangara. I need to hurry over to the Dralh Sea and check on that.’
’And I also need to make some insurance against the chessboard.’ She groaned in response.
[Put up with it for a few more minutes. I need to make a show for the Quip Clan too. Otherwise, they’ll truly take up arms and make a mess of the situation. Only I am aware of the Brown Mystic Path. And only the Echoes know the truth behind Root’s identity. So, this is necessary.]
"This is a warning!" Zhya stopped after a few minutes, glaring at the figure of Ruvva who kneeled on the Brimgan Sea in exhaustion, "I know we hadn’t communicated our intentions properly. However, Root had only arrived with good intentions towards the Brimgan Empire. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have just used a couple of Natures to fight."
