Chapter 30 – Intuition

 

That night, Tang Xianlian had trouble sleeping .
She didn’t expect that Bai Shuli would still propose to her even though he knew that she had a boyfriend .
He said that he would her a beautiful home . A safe haven, just like the dream he had once spoken when they were passionately in love .
He even said to let him compensate her with the love of his life . Then Chengcheng’s father and mother could become a real couple . So their incomplete three-person union would become complete without shortcomings .
So long as she was willing, they would immediately go to the notary to sign the papers . He’ll make her marry him in style . He already had his own business and could be independent of the Bai family . He would protect her, never let anyone come to break them up again .
Tang Xianlian stood in front of the sink of her own kitchen . She was wearing an apron as usual and washing dishes while thinking about what Bai Shuli had said to her .
She liked to think about things while doing her house chores . That helped clear her mind and gives her a sense of peace of mind .
The reunion with Bai Shuli made her think about many things from the past . Just like she was scrubbing the plates one by one, and then checking to see if they were clean . She was replaying and re-examining the past scenes in her mind .
One of the plates slipped off her hand and fell to the floor, breaking into pieces .
As Tang Xianlian squatted down to pick up one of the fragments, she accidentally cut her finger . And it started to bleed .


She was lost in thought as she looked at the bright red drops of blood coming on her finger . She kept staring at it until someone took her injured hand to the front for examination .
“I had told you to use the dishwasher . Why didn’t you use it?” Zhong Zhendong crouched in front of her, appearing out of nowhere without prior warning .
Tang Xianlian was staring at him in a daze, and without answering his question: “You’re back?”

“Yeah . Are you surprised to see me?” His eyes were smiling, but you couldn’t tell if it was a real smile .
She answered honestly: “A little . ”
“Just a little?”


“You didn’t say when you’d be back home . But I guessed that it would be in the next few days . ”
“How did you guess?”
“Intuition . ”
Zhong Zhendong took her finger into his mouth and sucked the drops of blood . All the while his handsome face actually had that seductive expression of his .
Tang Xianlian’s heart was pounding, because of his action and his seductive expression . That instantly made her restless .
When they were on the bed, their scent and sweat can no longer tell apart . He liked to whisper in her ear quite revealing words just to make her blush . He said that he would eat all of her, her entire body . And even joked about sucking her bone marrow .


Even though at times this man was quite shameless, yet he also was awfully forthcoming . Albeit he was undeniedly cunning, but at least so far, he had done all that out of a desire for her . Moreover, he made his intention extremely clear, so that she couldn’t be confused .
“Are you upset?” She asked curiously .
Zhong Zhendong looked at her, still with a seductive smile . “What makes you think that I could be upset while I’m obviously seducing you?”
“I wasn’t sure, but I had a feeling . Thus I asked you for confirmation . ” She said honestly while steadily gazing at him .
Zhong Zhendong has seen too much hypocrisy in his life . He had joined the army when he was young . He also worked in intelligence, as well as participated in treacherous political and military negotiations with various countries . That universe wasn’t short of cunning and hypocrisy people .
He was one of these cunning people, who knows how to mislead others . So when he found this simple and straightforward woman with kind-hearted nature, he simply couldn’t help but want to get close to her .
