AFTER RETURNING HOME
“I’m back, Riveria.”
“Ah, welcome back, Aiz.”
Aiz and Riveria exchanged pleasant smiles while the rest of the familia looked on happily. Aiz had just returned from her trip to Edas Village. Beneath the warm sun, Aiz said her sorries and thank-yous as a gentle, heartwarming mood descended over the crowd.
…Until Lefiya, with an altogether different look in her eyes, stepped up to Aiz.
“So tell me,” she said. “I heard th-th-that human boy from Hestia Familia was there as well. H-h-how did you spend those five days?”
“…Hm?”
“You know! Deep in the mountains, with no refuge…D-d-d-don’t tell me you had to seek shelter from the rain in a cave somewhere and s-s-strip down and p-p-press your bodies together for warmth?!?!”
Lefiya didn’t know about Edas Village, and as a result, she had clearly succumbed to delusion. While Tiona, Bete, and the others present looked on in shock, she demanded to know exactly what her beloved swordswoman had gotten up to with that despicable knave.
“I-I just mean,” said Lefiya, switching tack, “he didn’t try anything weird with you, did he?”
At the mention of the word “weird,” Aiz recalled something. A memory of trying to get Bell to open up. His refusal, her offense, pushing him over, knocking him down…As soon as she remembered, her cheeks flushed in shame, and she began fidgeting awkwardly.
Lefiya and the rest of the team couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
“M-Ms. Aiz?! Don’t tell me he really did do something?!”
“N-no…It’s more like…I…did something to him…”
“What?!”
“I grabbed Bell…and pushed him onto the bed…”
“““Wh-whaaaaaaaaaaaat?!”””
The entire familia cried out in unison. Lefiya and the rest of Aiz’s groupies fainted on the spot. The Hyrute twins suddenly got all excited, and even Bete froze in shock. It was utter chaos.
“You foolish girl…You really are a handful.”
Only Riveria, who knew how airheaded Aiz could be, managed to deduce what had really happened and rubbed the bridge of her nose in exasperation.
