AMAZONIAN THEATER
“Hey, Tione.”
“What?”
One afternoon, in a bedroom shared by a set of twins, one sister relaxed on the bed, while the other lay sprawled out over it.
“The others say they’ve been feeling watched lately.”
“‘Watched’? What on earth do they mean by that?”
“They’ve been getting chills, like someone’s watching them, and if they let their guard down for even a minute, they’ll be gobbled up, they say!”
“Hmph. It’s probably some other familia, isn’t it? Once we find out who they are, we should just march over there and crush them before they can do anything.”
Tione flipped a page in her book, Everything You Need to Know About Love! Tiona turned over onto her back.
“Hey, Tione.”
“What?”
“I heard some Amazons have been sneaking into Orario.”
“Really? What about the Guild? Isn’t it their job to keep them out?”
“I heard some of them smuggled themselves in wine barrels, and others just beat up the guards.”
“That’s so stupid; I can’t believe it worked. Ganesha’s people must be slacking off as well.”
Tione began nibbling on her Jyaga Maru Kun. Tiona reached to tear a bit off, but her hand was batted away.
“Hey, Tione.”
“What is it now?”
“I heard one of those Amazons is as strong as a snake.”
“Hold on. Are you saying it’s me, because my alias is the name of a snake?”
“No, no. It’s someone else. I heard she came here searching for the man of her dreams.”
“Disgusting. Just another Amazon who’s thinking with her crotch instead of her head.”
Tione angrily turned another page. Tiona stared at the ceiling.
“I heard that this Amazon said she’d never forget the way that prum man punched her.”
“…”
Tione fell deathly silent. Tiona reached over and slipped the Jyaga Maru Kun from her hands.
“Hey, Tione.”
“…What?”
“I forgot to say that Finn said one of those Amazons was following him around.”
“Argana!!”
Consumed by a furious rage, Tione stormed out of the room, while Tiona munched happily on her new snack.
