TRAINING TREND
“All right, let’s spar!”
“You’re on!”
“I’m heading to the Dungeon!”
The home of Loki Familia was unusually abuzz. Aiz had recently reached Level 6, inspiring the lower-ranking members to strive for similar heights, sparking a new training trend.
Even though an expedition into the deep levels was imminent, the juniors sought no rest—much to the delight and dismay of Finn and the rest of the familia leadership. Still, the top brass welcomed the increased morale, and even Loki watched over her children’s progress with a grin.
“U-um…! Can I join you?”
“Sorry, Lefiya. This training is only for three people.”
One by one, the other members departed until Lefiya found herself completely alone.
“Th-they all went off without me!” she groaned to herself. Suddenly, Aiz poked her head through the doorway.
“What’s the matter…?” she asked.
“W-well…”
Lefiya explained her dilemma, and Aiz tilted her head.
“Why don’t we train together, then?”
“Y-you really mean it?!”
Lefiya’s face lit up instantly. This is the best outcome I could have hoped for!
A one-on-one sparring session with Aiz was more than she’d dreamed of.
“Let’s play tag,” Aiz suggested. “Once you tag me, we’ll change places.”
“Okay!”
It was a standard method meant to teach agility, evasion, and predicting your opponent’s moves. Lefiya nodded happily, and the training began.
“M-Ms. Aiz…! Wait!”
Aiz zipped across the courtyard so fast she left afterimages in her wake. Lefiya gasped for breath as her legs protested. She hadn’t managed to tag the Sword Princess even once. Aiz’s relentless pace made Lefiya feel as if she were chasing after air.
After twelve straight hours, Lefiya finally collapsed without tagging her a single time.
