Bai Jingshen knew just the right words to enrage the Azure Dragon. He even made sure to smile as he said those words. The Azure Dragon grew in size, becoming much larger as he stared down at Bai Jingshen. But before he could speak, Bai Jingshen spoke up.
"No need to be so angry, senior Zhangru. It was just a small jest. You are older than me, so for now you are the senior."
Qing Zhangru glared down. "For now?" he asked.
Bai Jingshen only smiled. "Now, if you don’t mind, I would like to take my great-grandson away. He must’ve been tired after a long journey."
"I still have not received the answer to my question," Qing Zhangru said.
"You have already. He used his father’s teleportation talisman. Surely there’s no crime in doing that. Even if it was, I’m sure your magnanimous self is willing to forgive him for that," the White Tiger said. "If you still wish to further question him, you’re free to follow us to our home. I’m sure every White Tiger will be happy to see you there."
Qing Zhangru’s anger was clear, but there wasn’t much he could do at that moment. Despite the fact that an Azure Dragon’s talisman had been used, it had been done by someone who was so clearly a descendant of a White Tiger.
As a result, they would need to question the White Tiger themselves.
"You’ll hear from our patriarch soon," Qing Zhangru said, and then in a flash of silver light, he disappeared.
Bai Jingshen stood there for a moment before turning around. "Scary, isn’t he?" he asked.
"Grandpa!"
Pearl walked forward.
"Haha! It’s good to see you’ve finally made it here," Bai Jingshen said. "I was worried you wouldn’t come at all."
"There was never a question," Alex said as he moved forward as well. "It is truly good to see you, brother Shen. I cannot imagine how much trouble we would’ve been in had you not arrived in time."
"With Pearl around, you’re not going to get into too much trouble," Bai Jingshen said. "As much as senior Zhangru made it seem like he was angry, he still wouldn’t dare attack any of you. He won’t attack a Heavenly beast so easily."
"I see. I am glad to hear that," Alex said.
"I’m sorry I revealed it all so soon, grandpa. I should’ve waited just a little longer for you to arrive."
"That’s fine," Bai Jingshen said. "We were going to have to reveal it sooner or later anyway. We can’t have you stay away from your other family forever, can we?"
Pearl nodded.
"How have you been, Whisker? You have become an Immortal as well, it seems."
Whisker smiled. "I have, senior."
Bai Jingshen next turned toward Bladedance. "Welcome to the Land of the Blessed Sun, Sword God."
"We... haven’t met before, have we?" Bladedance asked.
"I’m afraid not. I am far too young to have met you before," Bai Jingshen said. "I just heard who you were. If you don’t mind me asking, why are you traveling with the young man and my great-grandson?"
"This young man here is my disciple," Bladedance answered.
