"Stay with her," Alex told the father and turned toward the fish. He took a few steps away from the two before jumping toward the fish. The water around him evaporated from friction alone as he created a shockwave from his jump.

He arrived at the swordfish in an instant and punched it so hard that he blew a massive hole through the fish's body, killing it at once. The beast core slowly floated down in the ocean, and he immediately ate it before returning to the chief.

The chief watched in stunned horror at how easily Alex had just killed that beast. In his shock, he let his daughter release some of her air.

The bubbles caught his attention, and he quickly held her nose again so she hadn't taken in any water.

Alex arrived back at that moment and noticed it. He looked at the girl and sensed her body start to fidget due to the lack of oxygen. She struggled with what little energy she still had.

Alex immediately swam up to the surface, arriving in the middle of the storm. At the right moment, he took in a deep breath and went back down to transfer it to her.

The chief watched as his daughter's chest rose before quickly closing her mouth on Alex's command.

After passing along the breath, Alex focused on healing the girl. The way to heal her was to give her a lot of Yin aura.

If he had any Qi, Alex could have done it so easily. However, without Qi, there was just one thing he could use.

His Intent.

There was a degree of difficulty in using Intent, which entirely depended on the possibility of the outcome someone wanted.

If a person with Qi were to use their Intent to move objects around, then they would move it around easily since they would use Qi. Without Qi, however, the possibility became nearly zero, which was why Alex had struggled to open up Mili's esophagus with his Intent alone.

The more impossible the outcome was, the greater one's Intent would have to be to make it work.

Alex had two choices to help the girl.

He could either convert the Yang in her body to Yin. Or he could collect the Yin from the surroundings and place it into her body.

Because he knew both the Dao of Yin and Yang, his Intent could align very well with Yin, allowing both things to be more possible than not.

Even among those, collecting something that already existed was much more possible than converting something to its exact opposite. As a result, for his own sake, Alex decided to collect the Yin in the surroundings and feed it into the girl.

Alex issued his mental command to the Yin in his surroundings, calling it to come to him. He could immediately feel a mental ache from doing it. Had he had Qi, this would be as simple as breathing, and yet now it was a burden on him.

He could only look forward to the day when he didn't have such a problem.

The Yin around him started gathering, but rather slowly. It wasn't at the speed he had thought it would happen.

Alex strengthened his Intent in order to make it happen faster, but it only sped up by a little.

He didn't go any further as he felt his mind ache with a pain that wasn't normal. If he continued any further, he might fall unconscious from the strain, and then everything would be for naught.

Still, he wondered why it was this difficult for the Yin to gather him. It almost felt like it was reluctant to listen to his Intent. Or rather, his command didn't hold much importance for it.

Energy by itself had no thought or preferences. It only had the law it followed, and Alex wasn't trying to break any. Which, to Alex, meant that there was only one possibility.

'It is listening to an Intent that is much stronger than mine,' Alex thought.

That was the only thing that made sense to Alex at that moment.

Normally, such an external Intent would usually belong to Heaven. But in Hell, there was no Heaven.
