Once Jun Shi Lian settled everything with the city governor, he made his way to the Jun Family.
From the city governor, he found out that Jun Shi Mo hadn't gotten married yet, but he had a fiancée from the Mian Family. It seemed that the Jun Family was hoping he could become an official to increase his own 'value' before marriage.
Jun Shi Lian didn't care too much, though.
He sneaked into the Jun Family Residence, using the familiar way he used to use when he was young to sneak out. Looking at the familiar place, Jun Shi Lian paused for a moment. They would act as if they treat him well on the surface in front of others but he knew how much they beat him up every single day.
It was to the point that Jun Shi Lian wanted to run away so badly.
This hole was the one he dug over the years, just for that preparation.

He didn't use it. Taking a deep breath, Jun Shi Lian looked around to figure out the way before he started walking. 'The main family residence is this way.'
There were many guards in the Jun Family Residence. With their development over the years, it was clear that the Jun Family had prospered. They were no longer the same as how they used to be in the past. Because of this, Jun Shi Lian knew very well that he had to be careful.
The city governor moved fast.
This was mainly because he knew that the other soldiers would return from the battlefield soon and there was no time to waste.
First, he called the nobles and asked them to agree to his request and he will give them a large subsidy. While some nobles were skeptical but the city governor had the highest power and had no reason to lie to them.
