Azurea started to panic when she heard Eren’s words.
Forget the sea monster, who had somehow become even more gullible—if she were in his place, even she might have been convinced by the butcher’s twisted logic.
"Sister, why are you just standing there? Do something! If you don’t, that bastard will actually form an alliance with the psycho shark," Azurea urged Marina.
Marina pressed her lips together as she looked at her sister in her true dragon form. She leaped onto Azurea’s dragonhead before speaking.
"I… Sister, don’t take this the wrong way, but I don’t think allying with Eren would be such a bad idea. He’s certainly more capable than the people at Raashim Temple," she said, her gaze lingering on Eren with conflicted emotions.
"What the hell are you talking about, sister?"
Azurea snapped, her voice filled with urgency and frustration.
"Has one defeat from Eren messed with your head? How can we put our trust in an unknown man? Especially a manipulative son of a bitch like him. And what about that artifact? It is still possessed by that sharkhead! How will we get our hands on it if we enter an alliance with him?
And first of all, that shark is not trustworthy. We’ve witnessed his psychosis and his mad rampages firsthand. How can we be sure he won’t have another episode in the future while we’re in an alliance with him?"
"Haven’t you heard? Eren said he’ll cure him," Marina reminded her.
"Hah! That lying piece of shit will say anything to get what he wants," Azurea scoffed, snorting through her dragon nose and creating an undersea current in the process.
Marina didn’t say anything to rebuke her sister. Even she wasn’t sure how Eren would manage to pull it off. All she could do was give him the benefit of the doubt.
Instead, she focused on easing another of her sister’s concerns.
"Sister, as for us getting that artifact back—I think we should give up on it for now," Marina said after much deliberation.
"After all, an Immortal Artifact chooses its master on its own. We already tried binding the artifact to ourselves, and it didn’t work. Although, it still might work if you were to try once again, we can’t be too sure.
All of this means it isn’t meant to be used by us at this point. If we force our wills onto it, the artifact might react the same way and cause psychosis in us as well," she said, glancing at the sea monster.
"First of all, that artifact doesn’t belong to the psycho shark either," Azurea said with clear frustration.
"Didn’t he go mad because the artifact rejected him when he tried to forcefully bind with it? Secondly, have you forgotten that the artifact originally belonged to our father? That means it belongs to us by extension.
WE HAVE TO– at least– take it back from him and secure it someplace safe even if we don’t get to use it."

Marina fell silent at the mention of their father.
Indeed, her sister was right. The Immortalwood Conch didn’t originate from Labh Salem. It didn’t appear in this world naturally; rather, it was brought here by their dragon father from some unknown place.
Of course, the Immortal Artifact hadn’t accepted their father as its master either. So he had given it to his wives and children, hoping to find its rightful owner among his family.
In the end, no suitable match was found, so it was entrusted to Azurea and Marina, the youngest members of their draconic lineage, to keep it safe in Labh Salem.
Marina’s father had left Labh Salem with his wives and other children after bringing the Immortal Artifact to this world.
After their father left, Azurea had tried binding herself to the artifact in the past but had never received the reaction she had hoped for.
Of course, Azurea was quite young when the Immortal Artifact was brought by her father. At the time, she had just been born.
Although she entered A-Rank as soon as she was born due to her draconic lineage and unprecedented talent, she was still quite immature to take control of the Immortal Artifact by herself.
An A-Ranked entity by birth, Azurea still failed to grab the Artifact Spirit’s attention in a manner that would allow her to control the artifact in their first meeting.
Still, the Immortal Artifact had reacted to Azurea’s presence when she tried to take control of it. It was just that she wasn’t prepared to take the tests that the artifact wanted her to pass so the ownership of the artifact remained pending.
This opportunity was then grabbed by the lunatic shark. When Marina and Azure had put their guard down, the sea monster sneaked in and stole the artifact from the depths of the sea.
At that time, Marina and Azurea panicked and started chasing after the sea monster. The sea monster was still very capable and powerful even without the artifact’s help.
However, it couldn’t handle the joint attacks of two dragonesses. Eventually, the Raashim Temple was also involved in the conflict.
The sea monster was in a desperate situation. In a life-and-death situation, he used his unique bloodline powers to forcefully merge with the artifact. Of course, he wasn’t even allowed to give a test by the Artifact Spirit so there was no way he could claim the legitimate ownership.
The first forceful attempt at fusing with the artifact was when he entered his first psychosis and killed a bunch of the dragonkin that served under Azurea and Marina as well as loads of Raashim Templars.
This was the origin of the three-way showdown that had begun more than two hundred years ago among the dragonkind, the sea monster, and Raashim Temple.
Of course, Raashim Temple was unaware that the monster had merged with an Immortal Artifact, and the dragon sisters never revealed this fact to their so-called allies.
In the first place, nobody had managed to claim the ownership of the artifact. And the sea monster was still very immature when it came to using its powers.
As such, nobody was even aware how the Immortal Conch worked.
