At the time Leon was stressed about his promotion.
Roland was drinking in his room.
"You saw that brat's face, Fred! Kahaaa! This is the best drink I have ever had!”
Roland was drinking with his friend Fred, the man who had prepared the poison.
Why did Roland and Fred drink together during the day?
There was a reason for that.
Fred was crying to Roland.

The poison that Fred had prepared was given to Merce, but under the direction of Roland.
Roland looked at the amber liquid in his glass and celebrated the success of the mission.

Roland had been aware of the riots and had used his friend Fred to take advantage of the enemy's plan.

Fred was praised, but he didn't seem happy at all.
"Are you up to something again? His Majesty never tires of that.”
Roland smiled when he told him he was up to something bad.
"It's a conspiracy that can only be done once in a lifetime. There have been many problems these days. At best, I'm going to ask the brat to do his best in the future.”
He seemed to be conspiring against Leon in some way.
