Chapter 1390 Origin Avatars (final)
The Avatars of the Ouroboros Serpents looked at their meal and then peered at the Avatar of Serathis whose face was buried in her plate and they tentatively brought a spoon to their mouths, Rowan noticing that they went for the meat first, their actions were eerily synchronized even though they should be separate personalities. It was like watching a couple of moving statues, but what came next was very life-like.
Rowan saw their eyes light up in shock and pleasure and he was surprised at the depths of their emotions, the Ouroboros never needed any desire for taste and they should not have been affected so deeply by it, and he wondered why his ascension to Origin seemed to have changed him and his bloodline in such an odd fashion. Did it not seem like it was almost regressing him?
It was then that a particular memory came unbidden to his mind, reminding him that despite how much he knew and had learned he might still be wrong about what existence looked like from the top.
This memory was a grim one and was the source of much of his motivation towards the affairs of Primordials, it was one he saw when he was breaking his Spirit Matrix Gate, and it was of the death of the Primordial of Time and Evil.
However, In this instance, Rowan was not immersed in what was happening here, he did not focus on the body of the Primordial pinned against the table by multiple weapons, but instead, his sight was on what else had been on the table, which were a map and cups that were filled with liquid that could be wine or something else, but it was obviously made for drinking.
In all the time that he was recollecting this memory, he had always been focused on what was happening in the room, but he never bothered to ask himself why would Primordials need to drink. In his defense, that question had been one of the last things he could think about before the enormity of the revelations before him.
Even a mere Earth god no longer needed any form of sustenance, and Rowan remembered that the last time he ate something was right before he rid himself of the Intent of Chaos inside of his first forge, and after that, he barely even thought of this deed. For so long he had considered the act of eating or drinking to be extremely mundane activities, a trifling distraction better left for mortals, but what were the actions of the Primordials telling him? This satisfaction he could feel from his bloodline Avatars, what could it mean? Was Ascension nothing but a circle?
"CRUNCH.... CRUNCH..."
His thoughts were distracted by the sound of metallic crunching noises, and he looked at the six Avatars of the Origin Ouroboros who had finished eating their meal even quicker than the Avatar of Serathis and they had proceeded to eat the plates. 'Here are the gluttons I remember,' Rowan mused, his eyes colored with mirth. Their eyes were darting around, looking for seconds, even though what they had just eaten could have fed an entire world of billions for thousands of years.
By his side, the Avatar of Chronomancer Prime who was eating slowly and methodically, made a slight gesture with his hands, and the plates of food that had just vanished into the stomachs of the serpents returned, exactly as it had been served, even though the food in their stomach had not even been completely digested. The six Avatars looked at the elegant boy with light shining in their eyes, and Rowan could feel that their sense of approval over this new bloodline deepened.
'Interesting,' he thought, there might be a form of communication between his three Origin bloodlines because it would seem that the Primordial Record alone could not assure that his multiple bloodlines could simply be perfectly fused, not when they possessed sentience. He could force them to work together, but Rowan suspected that this might be a mistake, and he knew that if he did a proper job, all of his bloodlines would work in harmony without the need to force their cooperation.
The Avatar of Serathis did not have to make any sign and her plates were refilled, and she smiled at the boy, before continuing her feast. Shaking his head in amusement he joined them in eating, anytime he took a spoon full of food, the Avatars of Ouroboros would have already consumed their entire plate, but a new set was always waiting. Without any prompting, Rowan began to speak,
